Do you know what he's doing now? I hope he's OK. He was truly special for those years you describe so well. I was a Celtics fan back then, but everyone was in awe/fear of him. Really, I think Bird said the Celtics got Dennis Johnson to have a chance at competing with Toney. Toney had the ill fortune to be a great player before the big money era ushered in with Bird/Magic and finally Jordan.
