C’mon, I had to post this right? ;)

Allen Iverson is making his return to Philly this evening at 7 pm. The Nuggets were smacked in the face last night by Detroit 136-120 and should be a little heated. Is it me or are NBA teams putting up points like it’s the 80’s this season? Does Denver plan to throw Alex English, Dan Issel and Ernest Maurice Vandeweghe III at the Sixers tonight to make up for the smashin’?

Anyway, it will be good to see the Bubba Chuck do what he did so well in his 10 seasons in Philly. In my opinion, he was one of the 4 best Sixers of all time along side Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving and Charles Barkley. I was sad to see Iverson go in December 2006. It’s doubtful I’ll ever get used to The Answer rockin’ such a sissy shade of blue. Figadeal me?

It was a bad break up and Ed Snider and Comcast aren’t planning anything special outside of the normal pre-game introduction, but I’m sure Philly fans will show their appreciation for one of the most beloved athletes to lace ‘em up here. Fans here have complained to the Sixers organization about the lack of a sufficient tribute but Snider hasn’t budged and has simply stated, “There will be plenty of time for accolades for Allen Iverson when he retires.”

Uh, didn’t you recently honor Jeremy Roenick when he returned as a San Jose Shark?

Thought so. Something is not right here. Iverson 10 years, Roenick 3?

It’s a shame, but Iverson and Coach Mo Cheeks haven’t spoken since the trade.

“It hurts that someone I respected so much, that I still respect, and to have the relationship the way it is, it hurts me a lot,” Cheeks said.

I truly hope they mend fences tonight and move on. A nice embrace with a smile near the Sixers bench would be nice for what would have been a dream back court huh?The other side of the coin is Andre Miller going up against his former mates in his new home. Miller seems to have settled into his new surroundings and handles himself very professionally on and off the court. He impresses me with his dedication to the game by watching film while icing his knees directly after the final buzzer sounds.

Who is going to stop who?

Depending on the media crush, I should have some good stuff from A.I., ‘Melo and the rest of the Nuggets up on SLAM tomorrow.

Should be fun.
