“Basically, is Candace Parker more marketable than any of the guys coming out of the NCAA this year? And can she prop up the WNBA to a level it’s never been before?”

If this wasn’t such a family blog, I would tell you exactly what she elevates for me. But the answer is yes, she’ll generate interest initially, but who knows for how long. I think the fact that her and Candice Wiggins are entering the league after facing off in the final will help.

The WNBA will be pushed to new heights with the additions of Candace and Candice. I hope that they can remain healthy and remain the potential face of the league for many years.
I’m still waiting for Philly to get a team.

Modi what’s wrong with Minnesota? Maybe it’d be nice if the Twin Cities can KEEP a star for once.
and I do think that it will be good for the WNBA that Candace goes to LA where she will get some media notoriety.

No disrespect TBR, but the league is far from “healthy.” It’s being propped up financially and if it ever lost Stern’s support, would be bankrupt in a day. My best to the ladies, but they need help. I hope their league becomes a huge success, but they’ll have to do it without me……

Okori, nothing is wrong with Minnesota except that it is not a big market city… WNBA needs its stars in the biggest markets
