		<description>Hasn't Phoenix won an average of 58 games the last few years?  They feature a wide open offense that scores tons of points.  Isn't that enough?  The Suns, as you know, get props in large part because of Steve Nash's minority appeal.  Nash is a member of a minority group playing an international game in which fans (of that same minority group) identify closely with him on the basis of their shared minority status.  It doesn't hurt one bit that this "Son of Africa" (born in South Africa) has sho 'nuff Regular Season Skillz.

You are right, though, to highlight the distinction between the regular season and post-season.  One can only hope that minorities are some day able to cross the achievement gap in the NBA post-season.  It's been done before (Bird and McHale, etc.; Madsen, Rambis, Laimbeer, etc.), but the memories are beginning to fade.</description>
