I’m heartbroken — I truly wanted the Suns to advance. I just have never gotten with the Spurs, although Duncan is beautifully fundamentally sound. I hope that Shaq realizes that the end may be near and that he really tries to be conditioned, but as a Shaqologist since his LSU days, that’s probably not a realistic approach.

Avery knows the deficiencies of Dirk, so to act like they were going to disappear is foolish. NO whooped that ass already this year, they still could not form an effective offensive gameplan to attack them. You can cry about Dirk and Damp all you want, Avery could have done more coaching and strategizing, but the team had already quit on him so the point is moot.

Avery will probably end up in PHX or something, hell maybe Atlanta.

Davidmac its nothing to adjust to. When you PF and C don’t score in the paint.

What can you do when your PF plays on the perimeter and after 10 years still can’t dribble.

What can you do when your team starts 2 I repeat 2…..7 foot big men (Dirk and Damp) and never blcok shots or change shots in the pain. But let a small 6 foot PG by the name on CP3 go to the hole time and time again and never get his shot blocked.

A superstar PF who doesn’t even care to play defense. He is so bad on defense you have to hde him every game.

Thats what happened inteh NO series. Dirk couldn’t guard david west so Damp had toguard him. Damp is too slow to guard him.
Then you had Dirk guading Chandler who he out weighs. Yet dirk never put a body o chandler skinny @ss. So chandler was gettng rebound after rebound.

Avery was screwed from the start. The fans and the owner won’t trade the weak link Dirk for Kobe nope. For Garnett nope.

So this wa bound to happen.

Now lets see what happens brotha Mizzo. He is a top 10 coach. But we know black coaches in the NBA (Even though they get more opportunities then any other league) don’t get to coach the top notchteams like their whte counterparts.

Its a shame that he will probably take one of the crappy team coach openings. Memphis, NY, Chicago and etc.

I hate the see Avery go, but he should have game planned around the talent he had. He never adjusted his style to fit the players.
