On that "jump stop" it doesn't look like his right foot ever hits the ground. Had he landed both feet, i think it would be a travel, but since he doesn't put his right foot back down (looks like his toes touched a bit) i don't think its a travel.

Mike T

You know you my man 50 gran and all that, but tough juice did not travel - he took the same number of steps as LeKong did(about 2 to 2-and-a-half) during his susequent drive to the basket. Perhaps that was a travel waaaay back during the Celtics dynasty or something, but NBA players 'been strolling to the hoop like that for a long time now. Last night, both Butler and James took the same number of steps post dribble while executing nearly identical moves.

So was LeKong fouled on his drive? Naaah. Songalia was either trying to flop or - more likely - get the hell out of the way. He did not interefere with the shot, neither directly nor inadvertently. LeKong simply missed a bunny that he normally makes. No bail out needed.

I, for one, applaud the officials for letting the game end on an actual play, not a free throw. We've seen enough bullshit superstar calls in this league. They often turn our collective stomachs, do they not? Let's be thankful when those ridiculous calls are not made!

From a journalistic view, this series being drawn out is perfect for me, because its 76ers tonight and Wizards tomorrow. As a basketball player, Butler walked, and you never call that foul at the end of the game. You have to leave the end of the game up to the players.

The reason why a foul is a foul is because it gives the defender a modicum of control over the play.

Why are some called and others not? It's not about assumptions.

you can't call that foul. they assumed lebron would make the shot. if they would have blown a late whistle, it would have been disgusting bail out call. james bricked a bunny, call or no call.
