Center: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar greatest scoer all time, 3rd greatest rebounder all time, 3rd greatest shot blocker alltime (his first 3 or 4 years this statistic wasn't counted). Rookie year took a franchise in its 2nd year of existence deep into the playoffs.

Point Guard: Big O Oscar Robertson Mr. Triple Double. Averaged one for 1 entire season, averaged 1 for his first 5 years in the league. Enough said.

Shooting Guard: MJ great scorer and defender unparalleled at his position.

Small Forward: Elgin Baylor great scorer and rebounder. Greatest rebounding forward all time.

Power Forward: Elvin Hayes scored more than 27,ooo points and grabbed more than 16,000 rebounds. Blocked almost 2000 shots his first 5 or 6 years this statistic wasn't counted. As great as KG & Tim Duncan are Elvin did it better.

Two lists:

This is my team if I simply want to win...no questions - bring on the rings.

John Stockton
Michael Jordan
Elgin Baylor
Tim Duncan
Bill Russell

Notable seconds for my championship team (we'll call them my bench):
Mark Jackson - seiously, guy knew how to manage the game. If you're going to get the ball to McHale and his 50 million post moves, this is the guy I want doing it
Jerry West - Logo - 'nuf said
Alex English - smooth like you wouldn't believe. This guy knew how to score. Somebody give me a mid-range jumper.
Kevin McHale - best post moves of anyone, ever!!!
Bill Russell - after all, he could use a few more rings
Other notables:
Oscar Robinson - did it all. To this day, the only true Mr. Triple Double.
Bob Cousy - the original QB at the PG spot
Reggie Miller - clutch 3-baller, crazy passion on the court...great desire to win

This is my team if I want to put butts in the bleachers...tell me everyone of you wouldn't by season tickets to watch this team play!!

Magic
Vince Carter
Dominique Wilkins
Dr. J - or Garnett / Kemp...take your pick
Akeem /Hakeem Olajuwon - or however the hell you spell it

Bench: Dwight Howard, Gary Payton / Isaiah Thomas, Josh Smith, Kevin Garnett, Shawn Kemp, Reggie Miller, Kobe Bryant

Magic, Jordan, Kobe, Duncan, Kareem

Magic, best and most Unique Guard Ever
Jordan, GOAT--due to accomplishments
Kobe, Future Goat, he's 1A right now, Greatest Work Ethic/Skills
Duncan, Greatest Fundamentals at the Big Positions
Kareem, All-time Leading Scorer/Sky Hook

Folks we're talking the greatest team ever, not you're favorite player ever. Nobody dished assists and had that cold killer instinct down the stretch as a point guard like Magic. He was impossible to guard in the fast break, and at 6'9 was the ultimate mismatch at that position.

GOAT=Jordan for now!!! I believe he's a little over-rated, but everyone heaped all the praise on him for the last 20 years so it's hard to separate what he measures up like against the current players/while separating the popularity that Air Jordan shoes elevated his legacy to. Because everyone's image of him is can't do any wrong, or he can't be touched by anyone---which we all know is absolute non-sense, people will not give other players their just due. Which is also non-sense and WRONG!!!

KoBe=Most skilled and talented player ever, with easily the most grotesque work ETHIC of them all. Look at some of his DUNKS when he was in the League about three years and you will forget most of Jordans, ( Not Vince Carter though). Look at his shooting, especially three's with guys hanging all over him like Christmas Ornaments, you will say damn---how'd he do it, this happened so many times it's not worth discussing Bird/Reggie Miller etc. Look at how he makes the winning play all the time, whether it is a steal, rebound, blocked shot, ridiculous last second shots, free throws, lock-down defense, or key pass. Look at his titles, look at how many MVP's they stole from him, so not to promote him as the face of the NBA, look how at 32 years going on 33 with 15 years under his belt, he's still killing the younger more athletic players head to head and winning titles.
Think about how hard people are trying to discredit him and belittle his accomplishments, yet his name keeps popping up in every conversation. Kobe vs MJ, T Mac, Vinsanity, Wade, LeBron,
Durant, come on folks. KOBE has surpassed Jordan as the greatest skilled/talented player. JORDAN is only considered the GOAT now due to accomplishments which may not be broken by no one individual, but JOrdan DOESN'T own all the records and accomplishments in the nBa either. KOBE has surpassed him in many area's and will keep on as he plays at a high level the next 2 to 4 years maybe. STAY TUNED---PEEPS

Duncan--Most Fundamentally skilled big/low post power forward player role with the mobility and footwork to do that, and can also dominate in the center paint against most big centers---how do you compete with that? DUNCAN

PG- Magic- Would be the all time assists leader without the HIV. 6"9 court general. Made everybody around him better.

SG- Jordan- Enough said

SF-Elgin Baylor-Averaged 33 and 14 for a career and 5 assists. Tenacious as a player could be

PF-LeBron-He can play anywhere and depending on how many rings he gets may go down ahead of Mike as the greatest. He's selfless and his talent is indisputeable

C-Moses Malone-Always forgotten it seems in the shadows of Russell, Kareem, Wilt and others. A rebounding and scoring machine

I'm gonna go with all 2-way players and assume each is at his prime.

PG-J. Kidd-Magic was better, but for this team, I'll take Kidd's all around game.

SG-Kobe-Doing what Jordan but they don't stick no 5'11" Travis Best on him, single coverage in the playoffs like they di to Jordan. When Jordan scored 50, he looked like he was giving it everything he had, When Kobe gets it going, he looks like he could go on forever. If Phil hadn't benched him in at least 3 games he had over 50 at the end of 3, he'd have 4 80 point games.

SF-LeBron-Too freakish and athletic to leave off, despite his lack of refinement of skills, dude is still the second best player in today's NBA of circus freak specimens.

PF-KG-As a two way player at every spot on the court can make things happen. Gives him the nod over TD and Malone.

C-Kareem- Only real competition would be Wilt, but Kareem was better defensively.

I'd take this team all day, every day and twice a day on Sundays.

PG- Magic - this is a no brainer... he is just bigger, faster, stronger, and better than any other PG you can put infrot of him.
SG - Jordan - hate to say it, but this is another no brainer. I am not sure why other folks are trying to find "glue" guys and "defensive specialists" when you can just as easily find someone that can do both
SF - Lebron - Say all you want about Bird and the Big O... lets be honost here for a second.. do you really think that either of them could stop LBJ?? You can have all the "will to win" in the world, but when you have a 6'10, 255lb freak of nature coming at you... all the "will" in the world is not going to help you.
PF - Garnett - Here is another guy that can do all the small things of a "glue guy" like Rambis, Rodman, and Horry... but is infinitely more talented!! Hopefully no one forgot that he has been MVP of the league, defnesive player of the league... and showed in Boston that he has no problem being a role player
C- Shaq- There are very good arguments for Russell, Chamberlain, Kareem, and The Dream... but I would take this beast anyday. Like Lebron I just think he is more s freak of nature... he is just more dominant.
