C'mon Temple. Hersey Hawkins wasn't the weakest link of the '96 Sonics. When it came to crunch time free throws, Hawkins was pure money. Cool as ice.

On a more positive note, I really liked that '96 Sonics team. Weakest link in the chain: Hersey Hawkins. Strongest links: Payton and Kemp. It was great to see Jordan (a little bit) and Rodman (a whole lot) get abused on the box.

If Americans are truly down with capitalism, they need to shut the fuck up and deal. Shit happens. Folks continue to vote for Slick Ass Corporate Politicos who want to curry favor with the wealthy while forsaking the public trust. The whole game is rigged.

You don't get to cry in your beer about losing your team while failing to understand that pimping municipalities for teams is not different than pimping so-called Third World nations for commodities like sugar and OIL.

Gates and his peeps have nuff loot to keep that squad in Seattle...and there's nuff Yakuza hitmen in the region to force a sale. I guess they didn't want it bad enough. Isn't that what Americans tell folks around the world when they get bum rushed by dictators like Saddam. Same shit, different game. Same winners, same losers.

David Stern and Dick Cheney...not so different at all.

Dennis Johnson, Gus Williams, Jack Sikma, "Downtown" Freddie Brown. Those are the players I think about when I think of the Seattle Supersonics.
