<description>Free Agency just got german suplexed. Completely flipped on its head. The days of lowball offers and teams underpaying mid level players seem to be coming to an end. The Josh Childress types just got the untimate F You, Pay Me card.

I've lived in Europe and I know how the African American, the wealthy, and the athlete are viewed. He won't miss the "A" for too long. Do your thing Josh.

Back to basketball

International ball is improving. College and the American minor leagues are now simply the traditional ways to make it to the league, they aren't the only ways. College and the NBA still have luster but for the true capitalist Russia, Israel, Spain, Italy, and Greece offer lucrative contracts and quality competition.

More importantly I think that this kind of move gives players more say than in the other major sports. In football and baseball, especially football, you have no other option. Owners and GM's can give you the shaft because at the end of the day, where are you gonna go? The 4th string WR, the back up punter or the utility infielder and 3rd string catcher are at the mercy of his superiors. Basketball players now have leverage.

Also if guys are savvy enough to follow through with this then doors will open up for more of the guys who fall through the cracks. The players that are the 13th and 14th guys and have to be cut to get the roster down to size will now get the chance to shine as well.</description>
