As a Skins fan, it was a awesome to see Art, Darrell, and Emmitt Thomas (yeah, he played as a Chief but he was a Skins assistant while Art and Darrell were there so he’s family) all get in together like that. At the same time, it irritates me to no end that it took Art eight years while the likes of Michael Irvin got in so much faster. It’s a shame because it sends the message that if you’re not a shameless self promoter you have to wait in line. We beef with T.O. and Ocho Cinco for doing what they do, and then we make great men like Art wait to get their just due.
Have no love for the team in Washington but kudos to not just Mr. Monk for showing class during and after his playing days but to Mr. Green as well for always playing the game with confidence and prestige. I rep the silver and white of the Eagles of Philly forever but these two men are proof positive that while the self-promotors get all the ink, back atcha Rob, the good guys will always rise to the top.
