Favre has been livin' off the generosity of the media for the last few years. Yeah, he had a decent year last year but before that, he'd been mediocre. MJ knew when to call it quits. Still, for me, the athlete with the most sense-comparable to the idea in showbiz that you always leave 'em wanting more-was Barry Sanders. I thought Favre should have retired in '03 when he couldn't lead his team to a comeback as he usually did during his career. He's been mediocre/bad pretty much since then. But the media is perhaps more craven even than him. I am glad that I'm really not much of a football fan and don't have cable so I don't see much of this douchebag. I'm real sorry the Jets released Pennington to Favre's benefit. Yeah Pennington has been somewhat inconsistent but he had a much better attitude and he has some talent. SOOOO sick of all this ish.
