Live Blog USA vs. Germany
The US is blowing everyone out. All they have to guard against a let down. But it ain’t happening here. Germany hasn’t been playing
well for some reason, but hey they boast Dirk Nowitzki and Chris Kaman. Kaman wanted to develop his game and play alongside Dirk even though he doesn’t really know anything about his German heritage. This is the last game in pool play. In the quarterfinals, the US will play Australia. The defense the US is playing is suffocating the opposition. All the offense has to do is keep putting pressure on the Greek defense with some of their patented runs. Flash has been a monster on both ends and you can see it in Kobe and LeBron’s eyes that they want to takeover whenever the team needs them to.
I see the US winning 100-76.

Two seconds in, LeBron feeds Carmelo for a deuce.
LeBron leads these Olympics in assists.
This is really a tuneup. I see everyone getting in on the action just so the team is more fluid when the real lights come on.
Jason Kidd for three. He’s just two for two in the entire Olympics.

Kobe misses a thunderous dunk but Howard scores again.
USA 16, Germany 3. This might be worse than what I initially predicted.
Sick pivot in the lane by Kobe and pass to LeBron for the bang.

Kaman gets inside.

Breen and Collins touch on Kaman playing for Germany. His pop’s not speaking to him because he doesn’t understand why he’s playing for Germany, but Mom is supportive. Pop spoke to him and said he hope he plays well, but told him he hopes he loses today.

They got my support. Isn’t that what we are supposed to do? I might not like their political stances and would love for them to speak out concerning their own communities like Rip Hamilton did for me and Ag this weekend, but I don’t want them to lose. Hell no.

Right inside to Howard for the bucket plus the bang. Dwight makes the free throw.
Kobe picks up d in the half court. This is where we why we are gonna smash everyone. The defense intensity on the world’s guards will not go unnoticed.
Kobe gets caught on the rim, but comes down on the next possession and hits a three.
Kobe hits another three. US 62-29. Bubba Sparxx ugly.
Greene hits a three for Germany and then comes back for a layup. That’s his first two point basket. He had scored all ten of his baskets here from three point land.
Dirk with one of his signature turnaround jumpers.

Germany hits a three.
US is still playing hard on both ends. Tayshaun scores on a little runner in the lane. He’s guarding the point guard at 6’9″. Nice point by Breen. He says Tayshaun has been in 5 Conference Finals in the six years in the league. At this point and when it’s all said and done, he’ll be one of the top playoff performers (games) of all time.

I typically don’t watch blowouts so I normally miss the really good stuff. I was done with this game after the first quarter…….
