I smell a rat. I would bet my life that McCain had something to do with the conflict between Russia and Georgia. This guy is a rotten snake and he would rather start a war then lose an election. How about the war starts when Obama is on vacation. Who the hell do they think they are fooling?
The republicans have gone on an on about John Edwards. Well this guy did nothing but cheat on his wife after her terrible accident and then left her for the bimbo he’s married to now after she waited for him while he was a pow. He has no character.

I share the general gloom and pessimism about the future of this race. A large swath of America votes out of spite. They see McCain as themselves, and as Obama as the nasty interloper who unfairly is taking away the rightful prize from the rightful applicant. Sadly, the spiteful ones vote more diligently than everyone else combined, and there you have 2000, 2004, and heaven help us, perhaps 2008.
That said, let’s remember that there are lots of polls out there (most of which still have Obama ahead); lots of time left (and Obama’s strategy seems very rope-a-dope; give him time, be patient); and lots of stuff going on in the ground game that Obama claims to have, organizing voters in states the Democrats have long since abandoned (Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Indiana, etc.).
The key must be in punching holes in McCain’s narrative, that he’s independent, a maverick, etc. etc. So far, the press is only nibbling at this story. Until it becomes the default position of your average, ignorant, barely paying attention voter, he’s going to hang tight.
The one good thing is that polls show that the majority of people think McCain is being negative. Since it is early still, if he keeps up the negativity against Obama, people might tire of that and go for Obama. If Obama can convince enough voters that he’s worth going towards. Given Obama’s centrist wavering since he sewed up the nomination, that has been a problem. So…. let’s see what the convention brings. Will the spotlight illuminate his brilliance or make him wilt?

Hell yeah America is stupid. They are so stupid that if W could run again, they would fall for his scare tactics and re-elect his stupid ass again. How in the hell can McCain make us safer?? If Obama does win, his every mis-step will be magnified and every accomplishment diminished.
BTW, Cindy McCain can not hold a candle to Michelle Obama, that woman has her stuff together and did so without being in a drug induced state or winning the lucky sperm lottery.

The msm and its poll trickery…..since when do national polls paint the real picture for a country that doesn’t have a national election? Its 50 separate state elections….but let the numbnut pundits on TV tell it, Obama is “losing voters” or (my personal favorite) “not closing the deal”. I wish somebody would tell these pilgrims that Obama has never been the frontrunner in this thing. Not once, not from the time he annouced he was running for state senator back in Illinois. Hell, not from the time he made Law Review at Harvard. He has never been the frontrunner. He’s still not the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination right NOW. What they can’t understand, what it appears they will never understand, is that Obama is a betting man and he rolls the dice with precision.
What they need to ask themselves is why a white former POW who has had every advantage and priviledge in this country since he was conceived and been in Washington since the 8-track, why isn’t he crushing Barack Hussein Obama in these same polls they like to talk about every single damn night.

You guys make me laugh with this because I don’t underestimate the stupidity or the mendacity of America. When people voted for W back in 2000 because they’d like to have a beer with him and Al Gore turned his nose up at the voters in FL who supported him then the scales fell from my eyes. Mix in the fact of the easily hackable voting machines manufactured by a company who’s CEO was the head of the Ohio Republican party in 2004 then all you have to do is connect the dots. From my years in GA I would always tell people up here that the racism and sexism is very close to the surface and that those people would never elect a bitch (Hillary) or a nigger (Obama) to lead this country no matter how qualified.
I still have my crisp one dollar bill for anyone who wants to take the action on Obama winning in November.
