I don’t understand why Rubio is hyped so much because of his age. If you compare him to Lebron at the same age, or even Dwight Howard, who was more NBA ready? Hell, I would argue that kid Wagner who couldn’t stay healthy was just as dominant at Rubio at the same age.

Re: Rose vs. Rubio, Rubio can't create his own shot remotely at the same level that Rose can. I do think Rubio should be, as Mizzo says, a nice player in the Assn, and perhaps he'll be even more explosive and dynamic than I anticipate right now (moderately), but Rose is The Truth and will be The Truth from Day One. And oh yeah, here's one of the most ri-DIC-ulous dunks I've ever seen, by Mr. Lance Stephenson.

I understand some of the excitement over Rubio, but don’t put him in an exclusive class yet because that’s doing a disservice to him, anyone else who balled before him and also the game.

I think Rose is going to have a good solid year. What that entails in terms of numbers I am not quite sure.

My point was that I was impressed by the poise of Rubio. I think if they played each other right now Rose would beat him. But Rubio showed me some poise in doing what he did.

now back to work for me. FASP’s await. And research on an article going up today.

Okori name one NBA point guard in the history of the league with Rose’s size, speed and strength–and with the lofty expectations.

Oscar is the only one.

Don’t give me Magic because he doesn’t have the athleticism.

Don’t give me Isiah because he doesn’t have the size and strength.

Iverson is not a point guard, he’s a basketball player and doesn’t have the size or the strength.

Jason Kidd is not the athlete Rose is.

Whether or not this translates to a Hall of Fame career obviously remains to be seen, but Rose’s physical gifts are freakish.

I’d take that coming in for by the time he enters his prime–and with the right teaching of course–he’ll murder the league.

What you think Rose is gonna average 5 points and 5 dimes?

You would lose. So you actually think Rubio would have led Memphis to the title game? Okori be realistic here. How much footage of Rubio have you actually seen? The FIBA game is not the NBA. Do you really think Rudy Fernandez is going to do what he did Sunday morning every night in the Lig? You seem like more of a wrestling cat. Don’t fall for the hype bruh. At least not yet. Let Rubio do something first. Don’t cosign on what the media is telling you, ya smarter than that.

Sorry that missed this live blog but for what it’s worth, i was up watching the game. Big “UPs” to Team USA for bringing home the gold medal……f*** the MSM and all the haterz out there.

I knew that Kobe and D-Wade would not let Team USA lose this game and there were a lot of bullsh** foul calls, which prevented the US from establishing a rhythm defensively. I have a new found respect and admiration for Kobe, D-Wade, LeBron & Melo.

I got jury duty today, so I wanted to get this in before my day got started.

Rose obviously led his team to the National Final and IS the number one draft pick….not some media projected hype.

Rubio will be nice, but the fact that he’s seventeen means nothing. Most cats in the NBA are talented at 17.
