So…it’s that time again. I can’t wait to hear the planes fly overhead, the snot smacks, the grunts, blocked punts, runbacks, pick six’s, busted plays, Randy Moss all day, Ocho Cinco’s first score, Mendenhall lore, Parcell chores….yeah yeah, give me some more.

This period between the NBA and the NFL is growing longer and longer and longer. It was so bad that the only thing I looked forward to was what happened in politics.

CJ will wreck the league this year

Can’t believe it’s time for the NFL. Are you ready? Last night the season kicked off with a snore as Brandon Jacobs, Plaxico Burress and the New York Giants bullied a Washington Redskins team in total disarray 16-7. BJ gave the Skins that cold rock stuff didn’t he? Why wasn’t Santana Moss’ catch challenged? Play blown dead?

Is John McCain done speaking yet?

John McCain was predictably John McCain in his speech. Nothing special. He wasn’t going to shock and awe anyone with his oratory skills anyway.

Yeah he spoke again about what he did for this country.

Where were his stories about keeping America safe? Where were his economic solution stories?

He’s banking on Sarah Palin to do his dirty work across the nation in attempts to cancel out Barack Obama’s star power.

They are probably still briefing Palin on foreign policy and will be doing so until we all vote in November.

Yeah McCain did call out his party. Yeah he did give Barack Obama respect.

Zach and the fellas are simply the shit. RATM have been a force in and around the political scene for years. Yes, they rock but they also give you that cold rock stuff. They have inspired youth to use their rage in proactive ways instead of counterproductive disarray. Their presence at the RNC most definitely put the protest on chill because what I was hearing is that the crowd was growing restless by the second and were poised to explode for the sake of history and whatever else.

There were a little over 100 arrests and tear gas was used.

They tried to perform Tuesday but Rage supposedly showed up too close to the concert’s curfew.

Carl Rove probably pulled the plug…

This is the reason why I feel the Republicans have no shot in November. They don’t care about youth and it will prove fatal when it all goes down. How could they be so stupid?
