John McCain Addresses the Republican National Convention

Is John McCain done speaking yet?mccain-300x225 John McCain Addresses the Republican National Convention

John McCain was predictably John McCain in his speech. Nothing special. He wasn’t going to shock and awe anyone with his oratory skills anyway.

Yeah he spoke again about what he did for this country.

Where were his stories about keeping America safe? Where were his economic solution stories?

He’s banking on Sarah Palin to do his dirty work across the nation in attempts to cancel out Barack Obama’s star power.

They are probably still briefing Palin on foreign policy and will be doing so until we all vote in November.

Yeah McCain did call out his party. Yeah he did give Barack Obama respect.

So what…

Who do I think wins the election?

I wonder what yummy information will come out about Miss Sarah today! Its almost noon, and so far I’ve only gotten the:
    1) the plane she claimed to have sold on ebay, did not sell on ebay - and oh, said plane was used to transport prisoners to AZ because there’s no room in AK, now they have to pay for commercial flights
    2) 5 colleges in 6 years - nuff said
    3) Wasilla is the meth capital of AK, per the state troopers - who deemed the city this honor, while Miss Sarah was mayor.
    4) More complaints filed? By who? Police union? Against who? Miss Sarah? Say it aint so!!

Oh well…maybe we can crack 6 new findings today!!

  3. DavidMac Says:

McCain talked about what he would do as much as obama did, to say he didn’t either is disingenuous or a sign that you can not think for yourself and can only repeat Obama talking points.

McCain said drilling for oil would lower the gas prices , relieving the extra tax it is acting as for American families, he would reduce tax for those who actually pay taxes, novel concept I know, and although I disagree completely with the idea, he wants to iniate some national job training system to train people out of work into different job fields.

So Mizzo or whoever wrote this one, how about report the facts and then go into your opinion about them.

I can’t wait until we when this one and you libs come out with the excuses. I bet my friend you the blacks would say they stole votes, and the lib whites would say they didn’t vote because America is made of bigots and racists.

  4. Miranda Says:

Ok…EREBODY must have that clip! I’ve received it 5 times since Monday and its on all the sites! LOL…so what song are they listening to?? My co-workers and I have narrowed the choices down to “Whoop There It I”, “This Is How We Do It” or “Its Ya Birthday” by Uncle Luke!

  5. DavidMac Says:

    @Miranda

  7. DavidMac Says:

    @Mizzo

So what you are saying is, it is too much to ask for you to report accurately?

  8. Mizzo Says:

I’m not going to get into it with you DMac. Comment on the content posted and the comments that ensue or be peace…

  9. Kwaku Says:

Mizzo, this DMac character issued you a challenge about the facts that you reported, and instead of addressing the challenge you slinked away and issued a meek “I won’t go into this with you,” which is typical of somebody who actually has no intelligent retort to offer.

  10. Mizzo Says:

    Kwaku laughable…

    Keep it moving.

  11. Eric Daniels Says:

I am never surprised at the GOP’s hypocrisy on their defense of a woman who is not gualified to be one step away from the Presidency. And their mocking community service and backwards turn on single motherhood is something that should have been expolited, because if this were Michelle Obama and her daughter were pregant and a Democrat it would be a conservative circle jerk on lack of Black family values commentators like Limbaugh, Hannity, Will, Coulter would be having major league joygasms with upfront racial rhetoric and sterotypes on the Obamas .

They would blame so-called “gangsta rap” genetics and say that black culture is deficent and their defending a boy like Levi Johnson who has no intention of taking care of his repsonsiblities and the media not taking the GOP to task on their family values racial rhetoric that they have used to win elections and their silence speaks volumes on White America’s double standards when only one person has asked the magic question on Huffington Post “What if Bristol Palin were Black?

  12. DavidMac Says:

    @Eric Daniels.

Where is the RNC hypocrisy on women. I know talking points tell you to say this, but do you think you could offer some standard facts.

The GOP isn’t mocking community service, they are mocking using community service as a qualification to be commander-in-chief.

Last time I checked, I don’t see the GOP saying that unwed motherhood is positive. Also, Palin isn’t an unwed mother and she isn’t running for POTUS. If this happend to Michelle, who knows what would happen, I doubt we would attack them the same way the media is attacking Palin about the actions of her child. For the record, Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter have not attacked any candidates children who have made bad decisions, except in cases where the children tried to be political operatives, such as giving campaign speeches and trying to court voters for their family.

Your last paragraph really is irrelevant. You don’t even present a logical discussion point or make an argument. Who is “they”? What is GOP “family values racial rhetoric”? What if Bristol Palin was black?

  13. Eric Daniels Says:

Well, David Mac, conservatives have made a living attacking single black mothers and Black Inner City culture FOR 40 YEARS or should we watch Bill O’Reilly’s weekly bashing of black teen culture every week for the last 12 years. The GOP has always used creative words like Ronald Reagan’s “Welfare Queen” “Big Black Buck” while referring to the inner cities during his run for the Presidency IN 1980. And Bristol Palin is news because if Obama’s daughters were teenagers instead of small children and one of them got pregant white conservatives and black conservatives would have had a field day criticizing the Obama families lack of “American Family Values” and would have had a field day on the black teenaged father ducking his responsiblites.

And if it weren’t for so-called ‘community organizers’ the GOP mocked like MLK, Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, Fanny Lou Hamer, Thurgood Marshall, Shirley Chislom, Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Mary Frances Edelman and thousands of selfless people of all races Many of us would still be….

    1. hanging in trees
    2. drinking out of separate water fountains (we still do that)
    3. would not have careers in various fields
    4. Nor have legal protections

Either come up with a proper defense or STFU David Mac because your party is the biggest hypocrites when it comes to values and morality or should we bring back the “Revs” Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggert and Senator Larry Craig kicking the bathroom for a blowjob or my personal favorite Representative Bob Allen -Fla (R) solciting a black undercover cop for a blowjob and offering a lame defense of his “fear of this stocky black guy” so he gave him 20 dollars.

  14. DavidMac Says:

    @Eric Daniels

Well Eric, liberals have made a living exploiting single black mothers and black inner city culture for 40 years?
-See how equally ridiculous your comment is when it is flipped. If you are going to make an assertion be specific or do not make it, because that is not how logical arguments are built.

So to start off your first suggestion is blantantly false.

As for O’Reilly, he is not conservative in government fiscal spending or with regards to government size and intrustion. He is simply not conservative.

Yes the GOP does use jignostic phrases to rally people, personally I see nothing wrong with using “Welfare Queen” at all, it also doesn’t signify a race as well, I would aslo add, welfare is not a black inner city culture that needs to be protected if that is what you are going at.

The term “Big Black Buck” was also never used by any Republican, and if you are trying to refer to the Willie Horton ads, I would suggest you pick another person to be the martyr for your cause.

As Bristol Palin, it is not news because it has nothing to do with the POTUS. I know it is hard for you to realize this, but Palin is running for VP, which is a do nothing position, not the office of the POTUS. If you want to compare kids, it would be accurate to compare McCain’s own kids to Obama’s,. Second, until a situation happens, when Obama’s kids have a baby out of wedlock, it is pathetic to try to make a legit argument that those Republicans would be out to attack him. I’m sure if I struck gold in my backyard the aliens would come for me, doesn’t make a logical argument that their are aliens and neither does your assessment about the GOP and Obama’s kids having a baby.

Your community organizers list is flawed. The only people in your list who actually DID SOMETHING, instead of talking about doing something, are Thurgood Marshall and Shirley Chislom, the rest while they might have helped to bring the public to attention really caused nothing by their actions. Like Bill Clinton said, MLK talked about equality, but at the end of the day Senators and Representatives had to vote for it to happen, I would also add activist judges and receptive Presidents as well.

The funny thing is of the community activist, most of the ones have not implemented any change by those in power, most of the problems those people were protesting in the 60s are still going on today, and if you want a hint of the reason why that is, look no further than the explanation offered by Barack Hussein Obama himself, when he said community organizing leads to nothing.

I really do not have to come up with a defense Eric, because you have made insufficient arguments. Try to make a legit argument first and then I will do my best, if I need to, to correct your inaccuracies. ;)

Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggert, and Larry Craig to name a few corrupt Republicans are indeed hypocrites, but does that mean all Republicans are? The answer clearly is no, it is sad that again you resort to a cheap shot and baseless claim to try to shore up your political position. You calling out the likes of Swaggert and applying that to the GOP is like me calling out Berry, Kilpatrick, William Jefferson, Rangel, Biden, McGreevey, and Elliot Spitzer as a sign that all Democrats are corrupt. I hope this helps you see why your argument is faulty.

  15. Eric Daniels Says:

DavidMac I usually don’t repsond to white trolls (feeding them just encourages their idoicy) but playing the dozens while being so intellectually dishonest is no surprise to me. Conservatives have played the race card in it’s media, politcal and intellectual constructs to power. And to say name one Republican who has bashed the black poor all I have to do is watch t.v. everyday and watch Faux News, and since the GOP protray themselves party of morality, fidelity and love of country while they should be able to meet that standard in their candidates they so cyncially shove down our thoarts.

And MLK and those people you dismiss got our rights by risking life and limb and since you like to use the black poor as an example of failed social policies let’s look at modern white rural and middle class amerikka (THE GOP’S BASE) and “your people” have an gang problem, crystal meth addiction young white people who are having babies out of wedlock and no job gains in the “heartland of real americans” in the last 30 years of GOP control unless you count the number of prisons in these areas. But since you will find some other bad-acting blacks and deny any conservative hypocrisy to defend your worthless arguments consider this my last post to you directly on this board.

I don’t feed white trolls because too many of them are stupid and will defend double standards they would never let liberals get away with.

  16. DavidMac Says:

Eric, what is a white troll?

Conservatives don’t play the race card, but liberals sure do, everyone who isn’t a liberal is racist, homophobic, bigoted, and any other negative descriptor. As for the media, it is so overwhelmingly liberal that if you think it is conservative you have to be living in you have to have an extremely skewed frame of mind in life. Most independent survey show that the major media channels, newspapers, cable, and network news outlets are liberally biased, except for Fox News which leans center right. You can’t see it because you don’t want to, which is kind of funny, you liberals claim you are open minded, yet you seek to discredit and destroy any news source that doesn’t follow the liberal company line.

What Republican bashed the black poor? Name one, and give a quote? I would be money they would just be criticizing the lazy and poor who seek hand outs, yet you probably take something they say to mean “code” for black. Typical of your type.

As for the GOP, yes we are a big tent, there are a lot of sections in our party ranging from fiscal conservatives-socially liberal (libertarians) to fiscally liberal-socially conservative, you have the same range in the democrat party, but I don’t see you crying about that. This is the distorted frame of reference you employ. Sad that you can’t see it though. As for love of country, what is wrong with portraying your party as one that loves the country, seems like you and your party suffer from low self-esteem, you all seem to think that by saying you love your country that means no one else can, that is child-level thinking at its worst, the fact that this bothers you shows your level of critical thinking.

MLK didn’t get us our rights, Legislators, Judges, and Executive branch members of the Nation and of the individual state did. It is pretty straight forward. Like I said, they brought great attention, but at the end of the day, they actually did nothing.

The GOP base, is composed of Americans who want laws followed, low taxes, and smaller government. Your use of Amerikkka shows why a lot of people would conclude that your liberal party hates America, in case you were confused. Stop being so bitter and angry Eric, you are in the land of freedom and opportunity.

As for the drug mentioning, all of American society has an issue with drugs, so we could say the Dem base is full of crack heads, pot smokers, cocaine snorters, and heroin injectors, but in the same way your example was ridiculous, that would also be ridiculous. You can do better than this Eric, think about the actual argument you want to make.

As for your assertion of no job gains in the US, that is ridiculous, show some proof when you try to state facts. I want you to know that you are getting to the right place though, when you make an argument you do have to actually make assertions at some point instead of just blabbering about nothing, next time try to source your assertions though. The fact of the matter is for the last 30 years, the US unemployment rate has been consistantly getting lower and lower, but don’t just take my word for it, check it out for yourself. 1978 - 2008 http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet

That last statement, regarding bad acting blacks, I don’t even understand. I’m pretty sure what you mean is, I’ve thrown every illogical argument I have at you, so if nothing sticks I’m giving up and calling it a day because I’m too lazy to create a logical argument and defend it, probably because realize how weak a logical argument supporting your position is.

The white trolls line again, would someone tell me what a white troll is? As for defending double standards, you speak of double standards yet you have no brought an example, you say “they this…” , “they that…”, but that is all. Give concrete examples man.

So much for the “proof.” Got any data on REAL WAGES?

  18. Temple3 Says:

LOL. DavidMac is posting DATA. ROTFLMBAO!!!

  19. DavidMac Says:

Man checked the link and you are right it is messed up.

Here is a .pdf of employment percentage and unemployment percentage since 1942 up to 2007, even with the current 6.1 percent unemployment rate the general trend for the pas 30 years has been a growing rate of employment and a lowering of the unemployment rate.
