Also, I’m a VY stan and am a bit blown by all of the stuff surrounding him, particularly his mother talking to MSM about how her “baby boy is hurting.” I get it, but maybe a bit of prudence was needed?

Dang, Miranda, you brought up the stuff when you mentioned Vick’s broken leg. For all the grief he caught, I think Dan Reeves was the perfect coach for Vick because he was laying the fundamentals for him and that team: strong running game, good defense, and shots down the field with the play action. Would have been better than that dink ‘n dunk stuff Mora tried to make him do.

Ah well, #7 is dead, all hail #2.

I did the same thing yesterday watching my replay on DVR. I just loved how Jackson splayed in the air when Sheldon delivered that hit.

Maybe the Eagles just need to move Sheldon over to BDawk’s spot next year and give Lito the contract extension because with the way Sheldon lays the lumber he should be groomed to take the Wolverine’s spot.

Origin, HD…the talking points for the day have been “this is what a real QB looks like”…as if Michael Turner’s 10 yards per carry, 220 yard day was just a little extra boost. I promise you, its been sickening…but then a friend reminded one of the AJC blogs of this tidbit: 5 years ago this very Sunday, the first game of the season, a homeopener against the Cowboys, Mike Vick is out for the next 12 games because of the broken leg during preseason….Doug Johnson has a 3 TD game leading the Falcons to victory, and the cries of “Doug should be the starter! He’s a real QB!” were the talking points for that week too.

Oh yeah, Reggie Bush made a sweet catch and run yesterday. The kid’s never going to live up to the hype completely but those flashes are something.

Miz, Miz, Miz…how did you like that lick Sheldon Brown laid on Stephen Jackson yesterday? Perfect 10 on his form but a 5 on impact because Jackson popped right up. Good way to start the season though.

Man it never changes. Lets see how much he is a leader when they go 4-12. Also those folks in ATL must not realize that NO is going to own the NFC south for the next 4 to 5 years.

Its crazy even those good old boys on TV were saying wow not even Vick led the falcolns to 3 straight touchdowns.

Big deal………holla at me when Ryan gets to the NFC championship game with the falcons.

By the way what was Ryan 8 for 10 or something. Please Turner did all the freaking work on offense.

I knew that would be the bad thing if the Falcs’ won in Ryan’s debut because you’re going to hear all that stuff about what the team can do with a quote unquote real QB. We all know it’s not how you start but how you finish and for those fair-weather fans down there in the Durty just remember these two things:

1. The Falcs have never put together back-to-back winning seasons

2. David Carr won his first NFL start too and we all know how that’s turned out so far.

If I have to hear how “this is a real leader” about Matt Ryan ONE MO GIN……I cant tell you how many of my friends are on drugs right now because they have cussed and written more emails to the AJC and called up these radio shows and given themselves high blood pressure and migraines today.
