I saw the movie about Mr.Haskins tonight and I must say that i was proud when they won the championship and thankyou to Mr.Haskins for opening up the eyes to many Americans about American Basketball and we wouldnt be were we are now without you Mr.Haskins Thankyou.

Movie “Glory Road” was fantastic. I saw this movie today and immediately read biography of coach Don Haskins. He traced road for today basketball.

I saw Glory Road and I cried. The movie brought me to a point where I didn’t want it to ever end, I wanted to see how great these athletes and coaches were. They are still great. This team and that game affected me in so many ways. It still brings tears to my eyes, tears of joy, of what a great man and a great team it was.

I am sooo very proud of this man! I was just in grade school at the time, yet I did see segregation in Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities). I was never apart of it and loved having new peoples around me. He said he was just a basketball coach…but he soon saw how he was no longer JUST! He was apart of the change that was! : ]
His children must be so very proud of the Legacy he has left behind for them and so many others. It just takes 1 person to believe in you, just 1.
Lord be with his family as they grieve his being gone almost two years now as loosing a love one is the worst. I lost my Precious daughter Nov. 18, 2007.

A “Coach” that can transform and bring life to a players mind, while teach him/her their craft is a special coach. Coach Haskins left more than an understanding of basketball, but a way of viewing life through it. May his teachings and inspiration continue to live on through those that love this beautiful game.

Couldn’t agree more Michelle. Mr. Haskins opened alot of doors for black basketball players.
