Collier’s left leg was also amputated.

Collier underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries just hours after the shooting. He was in critical condition following the surgery.

In the early morning hours of September 2nd Collier, 26 and a male friend followed two women to their apartment with plans to drop off their vehicle and continue in the Cadillac Escalade Collier was a passenger in.

This is terrible. The violence in our community has to stop.

  3. thebrotherreport says:

He was shot 14 times, he needed to have 5 bullets taken out of his bladder.

  4. michelle says:

OMG! What kind of person does that to someone else?

  5. Temple3 says:

That’s why I believe in select uses of the final solution. If they catch these dudes, they should just drop them off in the Jaguars locker room one night around midnight…no questions asked.

  6. thebrotherreport says:

They should duct tape this clown to the goalposts with a note in his mouth saying he shot Richard Collier.

Let John Henderson take a run or two at him, David Garrard can throw about 10 heaters from 15 yards out to the area of his choice.

  7. Temple3 says:

This is really an insane story. The guys who did it probably weren’t in a desperate situation — they just wanted to do it, and felt like it was okay.

  8. Eric Daniels says:

I hope they catch the bastards who shot Collier and give him life with no parole. If any case is a call for the needle it is this one beause a man lost his career and livelhood . We need to have a value on Black Life more than we do, that is why criminals think they can kill or maim African- Americans without penalty because they know the system and the ones who did it know they will not be punished harshly for their crimes us.

I’m definitely against the death penalty and vigilante violence but sometimes the posse needs to be called out and so some Old Testament justice can be administered.

Hopefully the guys who did this will be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law but that will be cold comfort to Collier at this time. Severed spinal column and an amputated leg. My god, the violence we do to each other as humans must stop.

Everything happens for a reason. It’s all for the best. God performed a miracle here. Praise the Lord! It’s a miracle!

    So true Eric and Harvey.

The thing is that its like this all over. Here in Dallas we have one of the highest rates of road rage in the nation. It common to hear on the news someone getting upset on the express way and shooting someone. Crazy. Folks actually shoot at folks because they got cut off on the tollway.

Even in the affluent neighborhoods you can run from this ignorant violence. There was recently a group of people that were running around in rich neighborhoods ringing door bells and as soon as the person opened the door they would shoot them in the head.

America is headed the way of countries like Columbia and Brazil. Where People with money are targets. Where it ain’t no thing to kidnap or kill folks who are famous for that loot.

    That sounds like Chicago.

  13. origin says:

Nope brotha temple its not my hometown chicago its Dallas. He11 texas for that matter. Yet folks still swear that capital punishment deters crime. Then why is Houston and Dallas (ofetn times ranked in the top 5 in crime) so violent.

I swear Texas still has that wild west mentality. I have this argument with my inlaws all the time. They swear up and down its just so violent in places like chicago yet they have never been there. I tell them yeah it is dangerous. But Dallas is arguably just as dangerous. I then tell them hey one of the reasons that Chicago has so much crime is because of the cost of living and the large disparity of the have and have nots. Also the gangs are a big problem. He11 I could argue that chicago was more known for organized crime then anything before the legend of MJ.

But whats Dallas and Houston problem. The gang problem is no where near Chicago. The two cities are darn near considered recession proof because of the semiconductor, defense and oil industries. Then on top of that you can live like a king in this state due to the low cost of living, high paying jobs and on top of that its one of the least crowded states in america. In cities like Dallas and Houston everything is spread out. Plus its sunny all the freaking time. Unlike the north where its cloudy and you rarely see the freaking sun. So why is the state and these 2 cities so freaking violent.
