Get Over It People. Adam Jones Is Not Headline News
Why in the hell are we still talking about this dude? What does he represent to you White America that you
make him news every time he wipes his ass? So what he made it rain. So what he loves him some Lisa Raye (not the pic I wanted to link to, trust) and so what he allegedly was in a fight with his body guard.
So what!
What has this cat done to warrant all the exposure? I hear pundits already digging his NFL grave even as the story is being developed. Why is that? What does it all mean? Why do YOU want Adam Jones handcuffed on national television and thrown in jail (and probably worse)?
I didn’t want to write anything on this, but this short blurb will be written just so you all know where I stand on this issue.
Adam Jones has done nothing in the NFL.
Nope, not yet.
Adam Jones does have talent.
You sure?
Will Adam Jones become great?
Uh…I don’t know.
Is Adam Jones Devin Hester?
Hell no!
Can Adam Jones develop into a game changer in the NFL?
Yes anyone can with the right work ethic.
Is Adam Jones one of the best players in the league?
Again, hell no!
Why are we talking about Adam Jones?
Because journalists need jobs and White editors want to feed the sheep the grass that is these bs non stories.
There has to be more to this whole swinging on Adam Jones’ nut sack?
I hear these dudes speak of him like he’s a slave on the block…wondering and judging and laughing and hating and debating if he should be Roger Goodell jettisoned like the Titan Fisher did when he was on the clock.
I guarantee you that every major outlet has this non story in the number one slot on their page.
Prepare for a week of Ed Werder reports from Dallas.
WTF is that about?
Turn it off.
There are a few forces at work in this case, near as I can tell.
After spending all of the off season booking tickets to Tampa, Cowboy Country is SHOOOOOOOK, son.
Sure they are 4-1 but it is an UGGGLY 4 and 1 and Division is STRONG!
They have TWO against the Champs one in Philly and one in DC/MD. They also have to go TO Pittsburgh and the game on Sunday is NO cakewalk.
The brutal truth is that Dallas NEEEEDS to have Homefield to have a shot at getting to Tampa.
That team is NOT strong enough under the flackjacket or under the helmet to Get their Road Warrior on (see Giants, 07 and Steelers, 05)
The Way Washington and The Giants are playing, they are staring down the #5 or #6 seed if they don’t Pile up the W’s QUICKLY.
Add to that the general mistrust of Messrs. Jones and Owens and toss in some garden variety slanted coverage and you have a fanbase and a media market that thirsts for news that confirms what they have always feared.
That THAT ONE is going to win the white house and they wont have a Cowboys Super Bowl Win to make them feel better.
Now If youll excuse me, I am going to rub my hands with glee in anticipation.
Well, at least Whitlock’s consistent.

And yet Matt Jones slips through the cracks.
Please don’t post Whitlock links on this site. No one wants to read that shit.
Damn, I almost did it too.
Not cool…
I can’t stomach dude anymore.
Didn’t know this happened to Randy Moss…

No prob, Miz.
I only posted it to say that Whitlock’s response was what I expected.
It’s cool Matt. That was just so you know.
So am I gonna get ripped a new one if I post one of Jemele’s articles on here, even if she’s right?
Look at the way McCain and Palin constantly use sports metaphors in promoting their Manichean “good vs. evil” world view. This nonsense works so well because that’s the way the mainstream sports media looks at sport itself. Heroes and villains, good guys and bad guys. This is also why we need to look at sport itself with a more critical eye. Certainly Adam Jones is one of the NFL’s “bad guys”, and the media needs players like this to promote their simplistic way of looking at the world. Even more interesting is the way exactly the same behavior is viewed, depending upon whether the perpetrator is a “good guy” or a “bad guy”. In the “developing” country in which I live (Michigan), the Detroit Lions are the only allegedly professional football team. Lions’ quarterback Jon Kitna plays badly, regularly throws temper tantrums, yells at teammates and coaches, and acts like a petulant child. This is because, the beat writers tell us, Kitna is “fiercly competetive”; a “gamer” who really “cares” and “wants to win” so badly. Wide receiver Roy Williams plays badly, regularly throws temper tantrums, yells at teammates and coaches, and acts like a petulant child. This is because, the beat writers tell us, Williams is “immature”, “undisciplined”, “not a team player”, and a “cancer” on the team. Go figure. Boston Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury is an up-and-coming fan favorite and emerging media “good guy”. He hit the only “three -run single” in post-season history recently, when Angels’ players Torii Hunter and Howie Kendrick allowed his bases-loaded, two-out pop fly into short center field to drop for a cheap hit. The reason this was a single and not a three-run double was, of course, because Ellsbury did not run out his pop fly, and ended up able to reach only first base. Both the TBS commentators and the “Baseball Tonight” crew on ESPN were delighted by this statistical oddity, but no one pointed out that had Ellsbury hustled, it would never have happened. Imagine had Manny Ramirez hit a “three-run single” during his years in Boston! Go figure.
Jimmy Paz
Nah, she’s cool. Good friend of mine.

Oh Matthew are you really surprised that Unicron whitlock let Matty “white line” jones slip threw the crack.
