Ron Glover’s NFL Power Rankings: Week 10

Vincent Fuller and the rest of the Tennessee Titans are looking to no one as they remain number one in this week’s Power Rankings thanks to a 19-16 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Parenthesis indicate previous week’s ranking
1. Tennessee Titans 8-0 (1): The Titans won a close game that could’ve gone either way. Should we be concerned with the Titans secondary after the number Donald Driver did on them 7/136/1.
2. New York Giants 7-1 (2): The Giants didn’t look past the Cowboys on Sunday. Expecting a physical game against an Eagles squad that has won three in a row.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-2 (5): This is one tough bunch, I keep hearing that they’re not going to last in the playoffs. I’m not buying that.
4. Carolina Panthers 6-2 (4): The Panthers return from their bye week against the Raiders and the Lions.
5. Washington Redskins 6-3 (3): Things are starting to tighten up in the NFC East, this is where Jim Zorn will earn his money. Surprising how bad the ‘Skins looked at home.
6. Chicago Bears 5-3 (6): If the Lions don’t miss an extra-point in the first half there’s no telling how this one turns out. If Rex Grossman plays Sunday he will have the luxury of a running back that can actually move the chains.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-3 (10): The Bucs got more than what they expected from the Chiefs. We’ll see how well they run the ball against the Vikings on Sunday.
8. Arizona Cardinals 5-3 (12): Dare I say for the last 2+ seasons Kurt Warner has been as good if not better than Brett Favre?
9. Philadelphia Eagles 5-3 (11): Last three wins have come against the Niners, Falcons, and Seahawks. Bet lunch money, they’ll be ready for the G-Men Sunday night.
10. Baltimore Ravens 5-3 (14): Meet the team no one wants to face in the AFC Playoffs.
11. Buffalo Bills 5-3 (7): The early season luster has worn off, the Bills have lost three of their last four while the rest of the division has gained momentum.
12. New England Patriots 5-3 (8): Out to remind the Bills and the rest of the AFC East who the division belongs to Sunday in Foxboro.
13. Atlanta Falcons 4-3 (16): Sunday’s match up with the Saints will give us a better look at who these Falcons really are.
14. New York Jets 5-3 (20): Ok! Ok! They beat a legitimate team in the Bills, no thanks to Brett Favre.
15. Dallas Cowboys 5-4 (9): Tony Romo may return on Nov. 16th, just in time for the rematch with the ‘Skins.
16. Miami Dolphins 4-4 (21): With winnable games against the Seahawks and Raiders the ‘Phins could be playing for *GASP* first place when they meet the Patriots in two weeks.
17. New Orleans Saints 4-4 (17): A win against the Falcons Sunday would go a long way in getting back into the division race.
18. Green Bay Packers 4-4 (13): The Vikings, Bears, Saints and Panthers await the Pack in consecutive weeks.
19. Minnesota Vikings 4-4 (23): The Vikes defense came up huge in the game’s last two minutes stopping a Texans drive. Hoping to have Jared Allen back this week against the Packers.
20. Indianapolis Colts 4-4 (24): It wasn’t pretty by any stretch but the Colts got a must-win over the Patriots at home. Facing a tough Steelers team on Sunday.
21. Houston Texans 3-5 (18): Sundays loss hurt the Texans but it didn’t kill them, not as long as the Colts are wavering.
22. Cleveland Browns 3-5 (22): Let the Brady Quinn era begin.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars 3-5 (15): What happened here?
24. San Diego Chargers 3-5 (24): Kansas City will be waiting to finish ruining the Chargers season.
25. Denver Broncos 4-3 (19): Does any team from the AFC West deserve to make the playoffs?
26. Kansas City Chiefs 1-7 (29): Too many close calls not to get win, this may be their week.
27. St. Louis Rams 2-5 (27): If the Rams can re-focus they can pull one out against the Jets Sunday.
28. Seattle Seahawks 2-5 (26): Why is this team still trying to bring back Matt Hasselbeck this season?
29. Cincinnati Bengals 1-7 (32): T.J. Housh should’ve threatened his team weeks ago.
30. Detroit Lions 0-8 (31): The Lions have been in every game for the past few weeks. The Jags may be their first victim.
31. San Francisco 49ers 2-6 (30): Curious to see how the Niners come out against the division-leading Cardinals.
32. Oakland Raiders 2-5 (28): Al Davis has lost it. Cutting DeAngelo Hall after eight games isn’t gonna help matters. The NFL needs to step in.
Greatest Jump: N.Y. Jets +6
Greatest Fall: Jacksonville Jags -8

Denver (4-4) at Cleveland (3-5) 8:15pm: The hungriest team wins here. Brady Quinn is set loaded with pressure outlets in Kellen Winslow, Jamal Lewis and Braylon Edwards. If the offensive line can keep him vertical, the Browns have a good chance of winning this one.
The Pick: Browns 23 – Broncos 16
Good stuff Ron. I hope the Eagles don’t underestimate the value of this game. It’s a must win.
Thanks, I don’t think so, they tend to show up for the Giants.
The Giants are looking good. Can y’all get an interview with the GM?
They ain’t gonna be too pretty after Sunday night win, lose, or draw. Belee dat!!
