What you guys don’t get is that it isn’t just the great things that Tebow brings to the field, locker room, huddle, etc. It’s that he is actually a true role model. Someone that any league would love to have as a representative. I wouldn’t count on Tebow “making it rain” or shooting himself in the leg in a club at 2am or having any illegitimate children any time soon. He’s the whole package. Great athlete, great teammate and more importantly a good representation of what college athletics is all about.

Tony Dorsett to me is the greatest college football player ever because he was a one-man gang who led Pittsburgh to the 1976 national championship and set the NCCA rushing record that stood for 23 years. Im Tebow benefits from other great players unlike Dorsett.

You can’t prove any points by using gross exaggerations. What players haven’t lost games that they should’ve won. Tim Tebow has broken big runs before, but as someone pointed out that’s not his game, and out of all the passes he thrown he’s only done the jump pass thing 3 times. The media goes overboard with praising him, but some of you are doing the same in reverse.

Tim Tebow isn’t the greatest football of all time, but to say Michael Crabtree is better is silly, his offense is even more gimmicky than Tebow’s. To Mizzo it annoys me that people swept away Chris Leak’s accomplishments too, but Tim Tebow was more than just a simple backup. Without him The Gators don’t win the National Championship, not arguable, and fact is Tebow is a better Quarterback now than Leak was.

It’s amazing how great a QB can look when he’s surrounded by superior talent. Ken Dorsey was a God at Miami. He could hand off to All-Pro’s Clinton Portis, Willis Magahee, and Frank Gore (Yes they played in the same backfield). He could throw to All Pro’s Andre Johnson, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Jeremy Shockey, and Kellen Winslow. Once he got away from those All Pros, he became just another QB. The greatest of all time will transcend their teammates, not owe all of their success to them.

The ultimate question of legacy boils down to team accomplishment. You don’t get the brass ring for being a back up on a championship team. You don’t get the breass ring for getting your ass handed to you by Michigan in your bowl game last year. You don’t even get the brass ring for losing to Mississippi. You don’t get the brass ring when your best passes are two-yard jump passes over blitzing lines and your best runs are three-yard scampers using the spread offense.

Like I said – this shit’s hilarious. Dude is good, but he’s not even Top 100. He might be Top 250 — maybe — If I’m feeling charitable.

It’s a shame that Chris Leak’s collegiate accomplishments were soon forgotten two minutes after Florida had beaten Ohio State in the national championship game. Subsequently Tim Tebow was elevated to immediate stardom and college deity status as one of the best of all time.

The question I have for everyone…Is Colt McCoy a better collegiate player than Vince Young? Young’s past is getting lost in the cynical present. He murdered a Braylon Edwards (3tds in the Rose Bowl) and Michael Hart Michigan squad and did the exact same thing the next season to Matt Lineart and Reggie Bush to the tune of 200/200. I can’t stress the importance of making sure Vince Young’s amazing college exploits remain close or he’ll be forgotten like Tommie Frazier. Tim Tebow is a great college player, but he is not the standard and shouldn’t be seen as such. If you listen to Tebow sycophants, Chris Leak never plunged in the swamp.
