So true about Pierce. Before the playoffs, I didn't think he was a superstar. I'm glad he fooled me and took his game to another level.

Love it when an athlete steps up like that. It seemed like he was around the rim the entire playoffs.

Black Pharaoh would have relished the challenge. Sometimes things just happen for a reason. I'm glad you mentioned that because right after I spoke with Doc, AB was under the basket sitting down and looking very disgusted. Thanks for reminding me bruh.

Oh, okay. I was thinking, "How the heck did I miss this??"

Reading Ryan's comments about Garnett and his legacy in Boston (and in the larger historical context) just illuminates the work that Paul Pierce did last year.

I picked the Lakers to beat the Celtics last year based on their success over the San Antonio Spurs. Without Andrew Bynum, the Lakers were exposed. I'd really like to see these two teams go at it with Bynum on the floor. Of course, the 2008 Celtics are gone so it won't really decide much of anything...but I do wonder how the Lake Show might have done with the youngster in the fold.

Thanks for reposting that. I don't believe I read it the first time. There are some great nuggets in there. Outstanding stuff.

You've had a pretty good day when you can impress Bob Ryan and Julius Erving in the space of an hour.
