Thursday Morning Starting Five: March 19, 2009

Ahh the madness of March is upon us. These first couple rounds are the most raw basketball we’ll see as teams scratch and claw to tell the world they belong. You’ll see coaches go crazy on the sidelines knowing they might not ever get back, and students from colleges across the land cry from both joy and disappointment. Congratulations Todd Bozeman for that NCAA get back.

Temple…Harvey Dent linked to that track just as I was adding it to today’s links yesterday. I feel you brothas, but Jack the Ripper was raw shit and in my opinion helped to transition Hip Hop into a new era. Mo Dee was that dude….Chuck tells me this all the time that Mo Dee is the Dr. J of the rap game because he brought the highlight…but James Todd Smith and crew kicked it legendary in timeless, lyrical and hardcore beat fashion. Speaking of Chuck, a Professor Griff interview will be posted tomorrow.
