Even Without KG and Ray Allen, the Defending Champs Show and Prove

Interviewed a bunch of Celtics last night: From Doc Rivers and Rajon Rondo to Bill Walker and Gabe Pruitt. Good for me, but the Sixers loss las night was just unacceptable. The Celtics were without KG and Ray Allen and still beat the Sixers. Dre Iguodala, Thad Young, Andre Miller did all they can do, but the Sixers are just thin in spots where they need some umph. The Celtics carry on and don’t care if everyone is picking the Cavaliers and the Lakers. Didn’t they win last year? I know KG is a little banged up, but trust he will play and play well. “And Paul Pierce defended that pretty good…”

    Words to die by.

After reading those words in your SLAM column, I know I wasn’t far off in my assessment that a tussle with Boston this year is going to be rough for all comers.

I just heard that Kevin Garnett will miss the entire playoffs. Not good for the Celtics.

  3. Temple3 says:

    Wow…they’re done.

  4. Mizzo says:

Yeah we’re talking about it on the TNT Playoff Teleconference now. The TNT analysts don’t expect them to get to the Conference Finals. Orlando is gonna have a tough time with Philly but should move on to the Conference Finals because of Boston’s inability now to defense the interior pick and rolls. Kendrick Perkins and KG were beasts at that and knocked teams off their sets by reacting so well.

Yeah hate to hear KG is done. If this is true the cavs will play the lakers in the finals. Cavs should beat the Celtics in 7 games in the ECF. This reminds me of the season that bird was hurt and the pistons beat the celtics.

Lakers over cavs in 6. Can’t wait to see how the media spins this postseason. Will it be how Marbury is a cancer win the celtics lose in the ECF. Or how lebron is a choke artist when he loses to the lakers in the finals (even though the lakers are a better team). Or how Kobe career compares to MJ.

    I say all three above.

Guess Fat unicron whitlocks theory will go down the drain, that Highschool kids can’t lead a team to a championship. We are going to have 2 dudes who have never went to college lead their team to the finals and one will win a championship.

Anyway I wanted to see Celts vs lakers in the finals again.

Well it still helps the league we can have the lakers win it this year and the celtics and lakers play in the finals next year.

Oh and that scream for joy out west that you just heard was brotha kevdog jumping for joy….LOL!!!

Another thing poor Ainge even he has health issues.
