I'd like to say that a lot of whites are extremely pissed off that our country and this Presidency is being taken hostage. Many, many of us are speaking out and demanding that the lunatics back up their ridiculous arguments with some sort of rational thinking or shut the hell up. It's ignorance that's driving this outrageousness. It's racism disguised as patriotism. It's a feeble attempt to fight off a huge change in tide the rest of the world is embracing. They are few (albeit loud) - not the majority. They won't win, they won't stop progress, they won't take over. Thanks for your post and for your call for action. We stand together. This supposed "backlash" that your talking about is the same group of people who were against Obama in the first place. I don't know one person, white or otherwise, who regrets voting for him.
