Straight butt whuppin’. No other words. What a fighter. Manny Pacquiao is in the discussion as the best left handed fighter ever. If you watched the fight, Manny left no doubt. Boxing needed this to set up Mayweather/Pacquiao.
Seven weight classes, seven titles. This was a demolition. Pacquiao broke loose from Cotto after round 4. Cotto was throwing bombs early and the fight had the makings of a classic, but Pacquiao’s talent and will dispelled anything of the sort. From then on, it became a conquest.
In the latter rounds, you could actually see the defeat on Cotto’s face and his corner was silent as they worked on the cuts and swelling. Miguel didn’t go out like a chump but this fight had to be stopped…even in the 12th. This was not a fight warranting of any decision…unanimous or otherwise.
Looking forward, will Floyd Mayweather sign on the dotted line and make this fight happen? This potentially could be the biggest fight ever in Las Vegas.
I give Pretty Boy credit, he waited it out and look at the pay day he’s about to receive. Remember, he’s still undefeated and though he’s been relatively outta sight/outta mind, it’s still his time to shine. This was Pacquiao’s day so I’ll wait to make a prediction when the time comes but it shouldn’t be a secret where I’m leaning.
My goodness.
