Gotta weigh in coz of Triple 5 Soul mention. Media is so stupid, and as Temple so aptly said, there's some animal insecurity among the Guardians of the Game that the conscious, seasoned, experienced, smart black man not appear the voice of reason. They might not say it that way, but that's how it is, no doubt. Triple 5 must wonder if he lives in a backwards universe where everything that sane people think is intelligent, is pilloried. I know a lot of you smart black fellas know this. Anyway, from this white man, can't have more respect for #5. Been lovin' his low-key, quiet assassin mentality since he came into the league. As you guys said, as cool as he is, he's still not a machine and a memoir from him would seriously, seriously name some names, probably again in a low-key but perhaps more devastating way for being so low-key, way. Anyway, as you guys also said, I'm sure Jay Cutler will meditate on what D said to him. It shouldn't matter what color skin good advice comes from that will fortify you, and people of any sense know that.

Something I missed yesterday was A. Reid saying that McNabb's career is HOF worthy. I think he's accomplished enough, M. Faulk and K. Warner got in the way of a few MVP's but with the victories TD to INT ratio, I believe he's in. Although I'm pretty sure 40, 000 passing yards would make him a lock.

They did a poll on Comcast 55% said that he isn't a HOFer.

Guess they're still holding out for Jaws.

That's really the heart of the matter. The visual power of Cutler being the pupil is not lost on these people. A good chunk of their identity is predicated on the myth that all whites are smarter, wiser, better than all blacks. McNabb's conversation put that lie on BLAST.

In the real world, people deal man to man (or person to person), not -ism to -ism. But, if your salary is based on "Fanatic-ism," how can you even begin to understand what went down? How can you use that teaching moment to help you with your family -- with your children -- with your other loved ones?

You can't. You can, however, hate it -- and take that to the bank. I've always maintained that DMac was too good for the Eagles and Philly (most of it anyway).

BTW -- Eric...I don't think TB sucks. They're having growing pains. 3 Qbs in one season...just beat Green Bay. Hard to play even and focused against New Orleans especially when you don't have run stoppers on defense. You'll be alright once you draft some heft.

Get well soon ED, The Bucs are gonna be a force real soon.

One sports radio host said yesterday that Cutler should've pulled away from McNabb once the cameras noticed the length of the convo.

Glad Cutler stuck around to at least listen.
