The Starting Five NFL Week 13 Picks: Michael Vick the Falcon Returns As An Eagle
Some intriguing match ups this week where weather may be a factor. There are also a couple of dome games that will help shape the playoff picture depending on how visiting offenses perform. Another Virgina son comes home whose name is not Allen Iverson. Will the Eagles use Michael Vick more than one or two qb dives? Sup with that? There is no doubt in my mind the crowd will cheer like thunder when Mike appears. The irony of Matt Ryan being out is something to behold as well. Remember last season when everyone was swinging tight on the Falcons because of their young qb? As the team hovers around .500, what will be the pulse of ATL after Vick week? Can Vince Young do it again? If he does? Haters just go to your room and cry because it’s over for you. If Cleveland wins, I will rock a Cowboys jersey for the rest of the year. Take the over in Arizona/Vikings. This could be the game everyone thought NO/NE was going to be.

Vick is back!……..and Matt Ryan is not playing because of an injury…yeah, ok. He was ruled out on MONDAY…..Coach Smith broke his own rule (which not one AJC reporter questioned) in disclosing Ryan was already out on Monday as opposed to disclosing it during the player injury update as mandated by the league on Thur. Hmmmm….wonder why? To make sure Matty Ice didn’t have a gazillion Vick questions hitting him all week?
This is completely laughable….the Falcons franchise is a bunch of punks for this one. Blank went into hiding, we haven’t heard a peep from the starting QB this week…and trust me when I say there will be hundreds of #7 jerseys in the Georgia Dome tomorrow. This is Vick’s house and obviously it will be for quite some time.
Miranda I knew it! That’s why I wanted to be down there so bad. I tried so hard to get a TSF correspondent to cover the week but money doesn’t grow from these. Damn.
Did you see #7 lead the team out the tunnel?? I’m telling y’all right now…mark my words, I don’t give a damn what Arthur Blank said…Mike Vick will play elsewhere for the next 6 or 7 years but when that dude retires from the league, the last pass he throws will be as an Atlanta Falcon.

Well, I learned a lot today at the Eagles Falcons game..
1. The media is full of crap and tries it’s best to make you believe things that just aren’t true! There are WAY more supporters of Michael Vick than non-supporters..
There was actually a point in the game where all the fans were chanting Michael Vick’s name. In fact, they were chanting so long and loud that the eagles put him in the game to QB the 4th quarter..
2. The reactions were not mixed. Atlanta was flat out more excited to see Vick than the Philly fans were. There were Vick jersey’s everywhere.
3. Arthur Blank was the only one who was embarrassed for the following reasons:
A. Because the court ruled that the Falcons pay Vick his 14 million.
B. Matt Ryan is hurt (Yeah, right).
C. Chris Redman is not hurt……lol
D. Vick had his ‘break-out’ game against his former team. Gotta love it!!!
I don’t totally fault Blank or the look on Mike’s face when they embraced would not have been so gold. We all knew this would happen and you would think this should’ve been nationally televised (4 in GB?).Of course not right?
GN……Matt Ryan is about as hurt as I am right now. I dont give a damn what anyone says…you cant tell me he was standing on the sidelines injured to the point of not playing today. No….Michael TURNER is injured, therefore, Matt is injured too. They knew this was gonna be THAT game and Mike Vick is THAT dude…..not only did Vick lead enough scoring drives to beat the Falcons anyway, but he beat up the franchise mentally a lot more.
And Brett Farve bet not pretend his ass is injured. I already saw him holding his hand and starting the theatrics.

Co-sign what everyone on the board is saying about the scene today in the GA Dome because while it was a solid mix of Falcons red and Philly midnight green many of those red jerseys and a fair amount of the green jerseys, me included, where Vick’d out. This truly is his city so much that many of the talk radio hosts were actually giving him love before the game started as I listened while driving to the game. Great day in the dome and seeing the die-hard >yeah, right< Falcon fans leave after the third quarter was just priceless.
If only the Eagles had shut ‘em out then the day would have been perfect. If Vick can give this team the rest of the season what he gave them today then this is definitely a playoff team that will need to be reckoned with.
On to the Meadowlands now but I’m going to enjoy this win and being in first place on the way.

This is the stuff movies are made of. I didn’t know if I was watching Rudy or the Eagles game. I have to admit I cried when he threw the TD. There are many lessons in life. Vick’s story says if you mess up and he really messed up. Take your punishment like a man. Look in the mirror and find that person inside that God made you to be. There are many chapters yet to be written in Mike’s life. I’m looking forward to the chapters ahead. He fell down but boy has he gotten up. We can all learn from his story. The 7 scored at the end of the game was very telling. Seeing it next to ATL says you can always go home ,with arms opened wide to receive you. Miranda I thought about you all day girl

These clowns on 790 are trying their best to diminish the impact Vick had on the game by lying and complaining that Andy Reid “showed” up Arthur Blank and the Falcons by allowing MV7 to play.

I heard that this morning taking my rental back and I have no idea what Steak and Dimino were smoking because most of the Falcons jerseys I saw yesterday were Vick jerseys and even a few that were hybrid Eagles/Falcons Vick jerseys. Throw in a few VA Tech jerseys and on my side at least which was behind the Eagles bench and I walked the whole side with my brother just watching the crowd.
The Falcs’ fans raised up in the first half when they thought they were going to score but that was about it. The only time I heard any boos were in the second half when Reid sent Kolb in for mop-up duty instead of Vick. Guess it was just a case of Rashomon where people heard what they wanted to hear.
The Falcons have more problems than MV7 though because that was a beaten team yesterday that just played give-up ball. Ryan and Turner may have been out but an NFL team with playoff aspirations has to do better than what they collectively did yesterday.
