The First Shoe Drops: Amar’e Stoudemire Signs With the New York Knicks

Somewhere lost in the LeBron, Flash and Bosh hype was the possibility of Amar’e Stoudemire shaking up this free agent signing period so viciously it would cause everyone to rethink everything they had just rethought. Well it appears that sentiment will come to fruition as Stat reportedly will sign a 5 yr. 100 million dollar contract to play for the New York Knicks. Stoudemire will be reunited with former Suns head coach Mike D’Antoni who has coached the Knicks without much success the last two seasons. What’s next? What moves will now be made from other organizations and the other major NBA super stars looking to get that dough?

New York now as a major bargaining chip to perhaps secure the much ballyhooed services of LeBron James. LeBron is expected to make a decision later this week. Hypothetical of course but this also might open the door for the Knicks to somehow reel in one of the leagues elite point guards. The Hornets organization has stated very publicly that Chris Paul will be their point guard heading into next season but with all this funny money thrown around, who knows. Paul would be an excellent addition to the Knicks uptempo style. Think 23-25 points and 13-15 assists a game from Paul if something miraculous like this goes down. The question I have is will Amar’e now become the super duper star we all thought he once will be or will he flounder injury prone and garner 4 rebounds a game. Let’s hope for the former. LeBron you are now on the clock fam.

So Mizzo were do you think the other kats will go.

Also you forgot that the first shoe dropped last week when Darko signed…..LOL!!!

Everything became clear once he signed…..LOL!!!

  2. Mizzo says:

    LOL O!

Fam I have no idea. A sign and trade is available for Bosh to land in Cleveland. If that happens, LeBron stays home. Wade ain’t going anywhere. His kids are in Chicago (going through a messy divorce as you all may know) but I can’t see him leaving South Beach.

If I had to make a straight decision, I think LeBron stays in Cleveland but doesn’t sign a 6 year deal. More like 3 and then goes through this again and possibly ends up in Brooklyn with the Nets.

  3. Origin says:

Dang I hope not for Lebron………..if thats the case he will end up like Dr. J.

As far as the Bosh to the Cavs………that could be a smoke screen to get the pulls to trade Noah to the Raps for Bosh.

  4. Origin says:

Also Mizzo what is up with the hate for Lebron’s inner circle. They act like these dudes are some dumb black dudes from the streets.
Don’t these fools know that these dudes run Lebron’s company and have gotten mentoring from folks in the business.

Dang its like they hate to see black folks work together and make business decisions. All I keep hearing how these guys are a posse and have no educational background.

Damn Miz, I sent a reply to this morning, but the Ethernet done stole my cookie! LoL!

Anyway, since before the official start of FREE Agency (I have to shout that… it sounds like knee-grows flee plantations). Since the start of FREE agency the internet, led by “well informed and highly intelligent and unbiased bloggers” (sarcasm intended) have been lambasting these three cats for the audacity to convene to control their own destiny.

Now being from Hicksville up in Maple leaf country I see first hand how attacking your star player becomes a natural fall out from these MEN trying to take care of business.
In the case of Chris Bosh you hear comments questioning whether he is a top tier player, to the Rupaul comments, him being soft, can’t lead and is a stat padder, to people calling him money hungry, egotistical and other disgusting things.

Like all things dealing with African people and money, it all comes down to money. Africans should have any, especially if you are an athlete, just shut your damn dumb ass and run nigger run. The media helps to feed this frenzy through the respective owners and team officials all facilitated by the napoleon dreaming wannabe asshole in the commissionaires office.

This is the main reason why the coming cba is gonna fuck over players. Many have cashed in because these officials are not fiscally responsible. And I definitely know that not every cat with money knows what the fuck he is doing…not every business owners that is.

I could never overstand why it pains Caucasians and Caucasian wannabes (that’s all the others not Caucasian) to hate on Africans making some coins, while the owners are screwing whole cities with the willing participation of elected officials.

I know this is not a Chris Bosh post, but as I said I am here where Canadians don’t have a lot of things to cheer about in Basketball (hell they still pine for Steve Nash to come and lead them to the promise land), but spend some time and check out this shitty piece of blogging http://www.raptorsprepublic.com I swear espn has illegitimate children all over the place. Just make sure you cover yourself from the splatter.

Mizzo….did you hear the latest? Bron Bron having a one hour special on espn to announce where he’s signing? They’re seeking sponsors, for this special, with proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Clubs per Chris Broussard.

Its official………..everybody’s stupid – and yes, I’m gonna watch…but nevertheless, its official…everybody is stupid. Jesus needs to come get us.

  9. Mizzo says:

Yeah just heard. Bosh turning down sign and trade means he’s probably going to Miami. Holding LeBron’s feet to the fire to end up there with he and Flash. I say what I’ve always said. LBJ signs a 3 year deal with Cleveland and then goes through all this again when he’s 28.

  10. Mizzo says:

Send your comment again if you still have it. I have no idea what happened.

  11. KevDog says:

    Miranda

LOL. I know this mine is the unpopular opinion here, but LeBron is a buffoon and an attention whore.

There’s a new photo collection of Amare’s games up on the Knicks’ website.
