The Greatest Players From Every BCS Conference Part V: The SEC

And now we come to the current gold standard of college athletics. The SEC. The conference that has mollywhopped all others when it comes to National Championships. Dynastic rosters, Heismans left and right, including the nouveau-riche powers like Florida along with traditional power programs like Tennessee and Alabama. The SEC has carpetbombed the NFL with Hall of Famers, legends, and immortals. But who is the best for each school? That’s a question we’re about to answer here.

Ground Rules: A high level of college excellence is valuable to this discussion. This doesn’t mean necessarily you have to have been a 4-time All-American but people need to be able to look back on what you did and go “we knew that he was going to be special.” Professional success is valuable also.

Strangely, there has not been a lot of expansion so I don’t have to go on about how I’m keeping things with the conference’s current alignment. Ready? Good. Let’s go.
