Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch Founding Memeber Of The Beastie Boys Succumbs To Cancer At Age 47

Adam Yauch known to the world as ‘MCA’ and one of the founders of  the pioneer hip-hop group The Beastie Boys passed away today after a hard fought battle with cancer, he was 47.

The Beastie Boys burst on the scene in 1986 with their classic multi-platinum album ‘Licensed to Ill’ and would go on to win numerous awards including three Grammys. The group is a staple in the hip-hop community and despite being the first successful white act the Beasties maintained a huge multi-racial following, Yauch was absent from the Beasties’ recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The group was inducted by Chuck D of Public Enemy.

Also, don’t know if anybody else represented the Knicks like the Beasties!

Also, Yauch’s “Gunnin’ for that #1 Spot” documentary was a great contribution

  3. At the end of that doc you’ll see me with a Barry Bonds jersey on. I think most of those kids made it to the NBA and they were young.
