Tip-Off for 6/7/12 (featuring Prince) Seattle, meet Baltimore and Cleveland

Last night the team formerly known as the Seattle Supersonics advanced to the NBA Finals last night after defeating the San Antonio Spurs in six games. Superstar Kevin Durant was the #2 overall pick of the Sonics in the 2007 NBA Draft. Following Durant’s rookie campaign, he and the Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City. Not known as an NBA hotbed, the Oklahoma City fans have been very supportive of the Thunder since their arrival and are now four victories away from the city’s first professional sports championship.

While another great fan base in Seattle has only memories of its 1979 NBA Championship and thoughts of what should’ve been.
