Texans over Patriots? Interesting.

The Patirots will win the AFC East and I won't be surprised if they get a first round bye. Will they get beyond the divisional playoffs? Not so sure. Their offensive line is weaker and older and throw Brady's rythym and timing off.

I hope I'm wrong. But those are my conservative predictions. I agree with you that the Steelers' Issac Redman will have a great year. Let the season begin!

By the way I couldn't help but notice that it seems our mini era of juggernaut teams has ended at least in the immediate future. From 2005 until 2009 we saw some absolute powerhouses in the NFL. Teams that had incredible offensive attacks, coupled with dominate defenses.

The Colts in 2005 and 2007 had their runs ended because of devastating injures but both of those teams pre-injury would go down as top 10 teams in NFL history. The Steelers has several teams in that era that were absolutely loaded from top to bottom. No one will ever forget some of the juggernauts the Patriots put together.

The Saints, the Packers are also some teams that were absolute powerhouses.

Last year there was no clear great team. Every team in the playoffs had some serious flaws that would ever have them even considered among the top 50 greatest NFL teams.

The AFC South is pretty wide open I think only because it's a pretty terrible division from top to bottom. I like what the Texans bring on the field except they can't ever count on their starting QB to stay healthy, so at the end of the day they're depending on a strong running attack and a defense with out Mario Williams.

I could see the Colts go any where from 4 wins to 10 wins. They have an all new defense and sometimes that can really work out with excellent results, but it also wouldn't be surprising if the defense is a complete disaster. I don't see a whole lot of talent outside of Mathis and Freeney who are both playing new positions after 8 and 9 years in the league respectively.

Luck I suspect will have an Andy Dalton like year. He'll have his moments, but I think it is far fetched to expect anything like what Cam Newton produced a year ago.

Can't wait, NFL is finally back!!
