The Atlanta Falcons won in Philadelphia for the first time in 24 years yesterday and it could not have come at a worse time for the Philadelphia Eagles. Andy Reid’s streak of 13 consecutive victories after a bye week came to a screeching halt as the Falcons dominated the Eagles 30-17.

The San Francisco Giants needed extra innings to fend off a Detroit Tigers team who fought to the bitter end. The Giants used timely hitting and the most unlikely of bullpen scenarios to stifle the tandem of Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder. The Giants closed out the Tigers 4-3 last night to win their second World Series Championship in three years.
