Tip-Off for 11/1/12 (featuring Dilated Peoples): James Harden cleared for take off in Houston; Anthony Davis Debuts for New Orleans; LA Lakers fall in Portland
James Harden’s 37 points outshined the debut of teammate Jeremy Lin.
James Harden wasted little time getting used to his starting role as a Houston Rocket. In his season debut against the Detroit Pistons, the prized shooting guard scored 37 points and handed out 12 assists in a 105-96 victory.

Sixers 84 – Denver 75 – Andre Iguodala scored 11 points in his return to Philly. Spencer Hawes had 16 points 12 rebounds and 5 blocks filling in for Andrew Bynum. Jrue Holiday handed out 12 assists, and was rewarded with a contract extension.
Pacers 90 – Raptors 88 – David West had 25 points and Paul George pulled down 15 boards for the Pacers. Kyle Lowry had 21 points and 7 assists for the Raptors.
Rockets 105 – Pistons 96 – Jeremy had 12 points and 8 assists to counter Harden’s huge night. Brandon Knight had 15 points and 4 assists for the Pistons.
Bulls 93 – Kings 87 – Joakim Noah scored 23 for the Bulls. Tyreke Evans led the Kings with 21.
Spurs 99 – Hornets 95 – Anthony Davis scored 21 points to go with 7 rebounds in his NBA debut. Tim Duncan countered with 24 and 11 for the Spurs.
Jazz 113 – Mavs 94 – Marvin Williams paced the Jazz with 21 points. Paul Milsap grabbed 15 rebounds. Darren Collison had 17 points and 7 assists for Dallas.
Warriors 87 – Suns 85 – Carl Landry had 17 and Klay Thompson 14 for the Warriors. Goran Dragic finished with 17 and 8 in his debut as the Suns point guard.
Clippers 101 – Grizzlies 92 – Jamal Crawford got off to a hot start with 29 points, Chris Paul handed out 12 assists. Rudy Gay led the Grizzlies with 25.
Blazers 116 – Lakers 106 – Dwight Howard was huge with 33 and 14. Steve Nash suffered a shin injury. Kobe Byant finished with 30 points in 38 minutes. Rookie Damian Lilliard finished with 23 points and 11 assists for the Blazers.
