Andrew Luck, Cam Newton and Robert Griffin III are setting the future standard for NFL QB’s.

The future of the quarterback position in the NFL is in pretty good shape. Last year Carolina’s Cam Newton set a new standard for all rookies. This year Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck have spent the first half of the season trying to one-up each other. Then there is Ryan Tannehill of the Miami Dolphins — who like Andy Dalton last season has made the most of his opportunities while surpassing expectations in the process.

The future of the NFL is on display Sunday as the Panthers meet the Redskins and the Dolphins face the Colts.

NBA Recap: Tony Parker stars late in Spurs 86-84 victory over Thunder

Tony Parker’s late game heroics were just what the Spurs needed.

Tony Parker shook off a poor shooting night to sink a 21-footer as time expired to give the Spurs a 86-84 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The meeting was their first since last season’s Western Conference Finals. Parker finished with 14 points and 11 assists.
