Last night around 11:15, America got its answer.
Barack Hussein Obama was re-elected to serve a second term as President of the United States over Republican candidate Mitt Romney. The states Ohio and Pennsylvania were physically and financially taxing on the President’s campaign. The electoral votes from these two states proved pivotal in determining the election.
There will be no four and out.
President Obama’s approach to the 2012 election was smashmouth, a relentless ground game that carried his staff into the inner cities of America. These foot soldiers solicited votes in drug-infested neighborhoods and other places Mitt Romney’s team dare not tread. Obama’s campaign once again targeted the African-American and Latino vote, young voters and educated professionals in key states.
America responded with an all out blitz to the polls for both sides. Romney jumped out to an early lead as the polls in the Eastern time zone closed, but Obama gained momentum as the night wore on. Once projected victories in Pennsylvania and Ohio were confirmed, Team Obama just lined up for the victory formation and took a knee.
