A pick and roll offense, lack of defense and aging players makes this a bad hire. 

Did reservations felt by owners Jim and Jerry Buss about bringing back Phil Jackson lead to the Los Angeles Lakers management hiring former Suns and Knicks coach Mike D’ Antoni?

Or is this simply a better fit for the team at this time.

Ron Glover’s Week 10 NFL Recap: Saints D stands tall against Falcons, Decisions, decisions in Philly

Jimmy Graham and the New Orleans Saints are looking to complete a historic run into the postseason.

The defense of the New Orleans Saints has been anointed as the worst of any NFL era. Yesterday the home team relied heavily on their feeble unit to deny the potent Atlanta Falcons offense on consecutive fourth downs. The Saints held off the previously undefeated Falcons 31-27 keeping their improved playoff hopes alive.

In Philadelphia, Michael Vick was knocked out late in the second quarter and never returned. Rookie backup Nick Foles replaced Vick and gave the Eagles a brief 14-10 lead in the third quarter. Two turnovers by Foles resulted in Dallas touchdowns and a special teams gaffe leading to a score became the Eagles undoing in a 38-23 defeat to the Cowboys. The loss drops the Eagles to 3-6 and swings the door wide open for speculation about the immediate futures of Andy Reid and Michael Vick.
