Tip-Off for 11/29/12 (featuring Alicia Keys): Ejection ends Rajon Rondo’s assist streak; Nail-biter ends losing streak for Wizards

Rajon Rondo (hidden by Paul Pierce) sacrified his assists streak in defense of teammate Kevin Garnett.
Rajon Rondo took exception to a hard foul on teammate Kevin Garnett by Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries. In the end, his retaliation cost him and the Boston Celtics. Rondo’s consecutive streak of 10+ assists ended at 37 games and the Celtics were manhandled by the visiting Nets 95-83.

The Washington Wizards finally put one in the win column last night. The Wizards bench outscored the Portland Trailblazers bench 46-2 on their way to a 84-82 victory.

Wizards 84 – Blazers 82 – Jordan Crawford led the Wizards with 19 points. J.J. Hickson of the Blazers led all players with 19 rebounds.

Spurs 110 – Magic 89 – Manu Ginobili paced the Spurs with 20 points. Aaron Afflalo led the Magic with 16 points.

Nets 95 – Celtics 83 – Joe Johnson led the Nets scoring with 18 points. Andray Blatche had 13 boards for Brooklyn. Kevin Garnett had 10 rebounds for Boston.

Hawks 94 – Bobcats 91 – Josh Smith led the Hawks with 17 points 13 boards and 6 dimes. Ben Gordon led all scorers with 26 points.

Pistons 117 – Suns 77 – Brandon Knight led the Pistons with 19 points and 6 assists. Luis Scola led the Suns scoring with 11 points.

Bulls 101 – Mavs 78 – Luol Deng led all scorers with 22 points. Joakim Noah led the Bulls with 10 boards. Shawn Marion led the Mavs with 18 points.

Knicks 101 – Bucks 88 – Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 29 points and 8 assists. Brandon Jennings led the scoring for Milwaukee with 19 points.

Grizzlies 103 – Raptors 82 – Zach Randolph pulled down 13 boards and handed out 6 assists for Memphis. DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 16 points.

Jazz 96 – Hornets 84 – The Jazz rolled with 19 points from Al Jefferson and 9 boards from Paul Milsap. The Hornets got 19 points from Robin Lopez.

Thunder 120 – Rockets 98 – Kevin Durant’s 37 points overshadowed James Harden’s first visit to Oklahoma City as a visiting player. Patrick Patterson led the Rockets with 27.

Clippers 101 – Timberwolves 95 -Chris Paul’s 23 points and 11 assists paced the Clippers. Chauncey Billups returned to the Clippers lineup, scoring 8 points and handing out three assists. Kevin Love had 19 points and 12 boards for the Wolves.
