Varejao has recorded seven straight double-doubles.

The Clippers twisted their defensive thumbscrews, holding off a late rally by the Utah Jazz to pull out a 105-104 victory. The loss was the Jazz’s first at home this season.

With leading scorer Kyrie Irving on the shelf, the Cleveland Cavaliers have turned to Anderson Varejao for leadership. The 8-year veteran has not disappointed. Varejao has become a walking double-double despite the team’s struggles.

Blazers 118 – Bobcats 112 – LaMarcus Aldridge led the Blazers with 25 points and13 rebounds. Rookie Damian Lilliard added 24. Ben Gordon led the Bobcats with 29.

Pistons 89 – Cavs 79 – Brandon Knight scored 17 points to lead the Pistons, Greg Monroe added 14 boards. Anderson Varejao posted a double-double with 17 points and 18 boards.

Hornets 102 – Bucks 81 (no video) – Ryan Anderson posted 22 and 7 for the victorious Hornets. Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 25 points.

Nuggets 113 – Raptors 110 –  Corey Brewer led the Nuggets with 19 points, Andre Iguodala had 8 assists. Kyle Lowry paced the Raptors with 24 points and 7 assists.

Clippers 105 – Jazz 104 – Blake Griffin led all players with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Mo Williams had 20 points and 12 assists for Utah.

Magic 102 – Warriors 94 – Glen Davis led the Magic with 24 points, Nick Vucevic grabbed 15 rebounds. Step Curry finished with 25 points and 11 assists for Golden State.
