Tip-Off for 12/17/12 (featuring Miguel): Jose Calderon grabs another Oscar; Kobe, Lakers shoot down 76ers
Unheralded veteran Jose Calderon handily outplayed free agent big fish Jeremy Lin last night.
For years Toronto Raptors point guard has been one of the NBA’s most underrated point guards. Blame it on his quiet disposition and playing for a Raptors team that has little star-power. Last night against the Houston Rockets, Calderon became the first player to notch his second triple-double of the season.
Kobe Bryant always it as hard on the 76ers when he returns to Philly as the fans are hard on him. Whether it tearing their hearts out in the NBA Finals or grabbing the All-Star MVP on Philly’s home floor. Bryant led all scorers in the Lakers 111-98 win over the 76ers.
Lakers 111 – 76ers 98 – Kobe Bryant finished with 34 points and Metta World Peace had 19 points and 16 rebounds for the Lakers. Thaddeus Young led the Sixers with 30 points.
