Serge Ibaka was cleared for takeoff last night against the Spurs.
In three short seasons Serge Ibaka has become the NBA’s top interior defender. Last season, Ibaka’s offensive game opened up as he improved his perimeter game.
Last night Ibaka was huge against the San Antonio Spurs as the Oklahoma City Thunder dumped the San Antonio Spurs 107-93.
Magic 102 – Timberwolves 93 – Orlando outscored Minnesota 53-32 in the second half. Glen Davis led all scorers with 28 points. Kevin Love had 23 points and 15 boards for the Timberwolves.
Rockets 109 – Knicks 96 – Jeremy Lin returned to New York for the first time since signing with the Rockets as a free agent. Lin finished with 22 points and 8 assists and James Harden led the Rockets with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Rookie Chris Copeland led the Knicks with 29 points. Tyson Chandler grabbed 18 boards.
Clippers 88 – Pistons 76 (no video) – The Pistons were held to 40 percent shooting from the field and shot 58 percent from the line. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 15 points and Lamar Odom had 11 rebounds. Brandon Knight led the Pistons with 16 points.
Grizzlies 88 – Bulls 71 – Both teams shot 37 percent from the floor in a less than entertaining game. Memphis won the battles on the boards 51-39. Mike Conley had 17 points and Zach Randolph grabbed 15 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Carlos Boozer had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Bulls.
Thunder 107 – Spurs 93 – Serge Ibaka led all players with 25 points and 17 boards. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 14 points and 7 dimes. The Spurs were outrebounded by a 51-39 margin.
Suns 101 – Kings 90 – The Suns used their rebounding (51-37) and turnover edge (16-7) to outlast the Kings. Shannon Brown led the Suns with 22 points. Jimmer Fredette pumped in 22 points for the Kings.
