The Houston Rockets, fresh off a blow-out win over the Chicago Bulls Christmas night continued their Midwest swing against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Rockets held their hosts to 37 second half points in an 87–84 victory.

NY Knicks sniper J.R. Smith dropped his second buzzer-beater this month as the Knicks — who were minus Raymond Felton and Carmelo Anthony defeated the Phoenix Suns 99-97.

Cavaliers 87 – Wizards 84 – Kyrie Irving led all players with 26 points and 8 assists. Emeka Okafor led the Wizards with 17 points.

Heat 105 – Bobcats 92 – Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 29 points. LeBron James finished with 12 points and 8 assists. The Bobcats have lost 16 straight, they were led by Kemba Walker’s 27 points.

Hornets 97 – Magic 94 – Robin Lopez scored 29 points for the victorious Hornets. Jameer Nelson led the Magic with 28 points and 10 assists.

Hawks 126 – Pistons 119 – The Piston rallied from a 22-point deficit in the 4th quarter to force overtime.Josh Smih and Wil Bynum led the Hawks and Pistons with 31 points, respectively.

Bucks 108 – Nets 93 – The Nets dropped their second in a row. The Bucks were led by Brandon Jennings with 25 points. Gerald Wallace led the Nets with 12 rebounds and 8 assists.

Sixers 99 – Grizzlies 89 – The Sixers shot 52 percent from the floor, while holding the Grizzlies — who were minus Rudy Gay to 38 percent. Dorrell Wright led Philly with 28 points. Zach Randolph finished with 23 points and 8 boards for Memphis.

Rockets 87 – T-Wolves 84 – James Harden led all scorers with 30 points. Omir Asik grabbed 17 rebounds for the Rockets. J.J. Barea led Minnesota with 18 points.

Spurs 100 – Raptors 80 – The Spurs won the rebounding battle 44-35. Tim Duncan finished with 15 points. Jose Calderon led all players with 10 assists.

Nuggets 126 – Lakers 114 – Dwight Howard was ejected for a flagrant foul on Kenneth Faried (15 rebounds). Kobe Bryant finished with 40 points to lead all scorers.

Warriors 94 – Jazz 83 – The Warriors shot 50 percent from beyond the arc. Steph Curry led all players with 23 points. Al Jefferson led the Jazz with 18 points and 10 boards.

Knicks 99 – Suns 97 – J.R. Smith led the Knicks with 27 points. Phoenix’s Jared Dudley led all scorers with 36 points.

Blazers 109 – Kings 91 – Portland outrebounded Sacramento 53-35. LaMarcus Aldridge led all scorers with 28 points. John Salmons led the Kings with 18 points.
