The San Antonio Spurs came into New York looking to extend their 7-game win streak. Instead, they struggled offensively, shooting 36 percent from the floor and 26 percent from beyond the arc as they fell to the Knicks 100-83.

The Minnesota Timberwolves took advantage of the Denver Nuggets on the boards 52-39 in an impressive 101-97 road win.

Knicks 100 – Spurs 83 – Carmelo Anthony led all players with 23 points. J.R. Smith continued his solid play with 20 points and Tyson Chandler had 10 points and 14 boards for New York. Gary Neal led the Spurs with 12 points. Tim Duncan scored 11 points in 23 minutes of action.

T-Wolves 101 – Nuggets 97 – Both teams displayed balance in their lineups, each placed six teams in double figures. Alexey Shved filled in for Ricky Rubio and finished with 17 points and 5 assists. Kevin Love had 12 points and a game-high 17 boards. Kosta Koufos had 16 points and 7 rebounds for Denver. Andre Miller scored his 15,000th point last night, becoming the eighth player in NBA history with 15,000 points and 7,000 assists.
