Manti Te’o needs to point us in the right direction.

A little more than two weeks into the new year and the top story so far is one for the books. Heisman Trophy runner-up Manti Te’o had a season as legendary as the University he represented. Behind his on the field fury was a story of dedication, love and immeasurable loss — which tugged at our heartstrings.

If only she really existed.

In the end, the only hearts broken were those who put their unwavering faith in Te’o.

Fading into history: LeBron James’ 20,000 point came on this fallaway jumper.

We are witnesses to one of the great individual careers in the history of sports. LeBron James became the youngest player to score 20,000 points as the Heat defeated the Golden State Warriors 92-75. For good measure, James handed out his 5,000th dime. At age 28, it’s highly possible that James could become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer as well as one of its all-time assist leaders.
