God, Ray Lewis and the darkness amid the light

As Ray Lewis channels his inner light, there are those who want to remind him of darker days.

Ray Lewis’ final game as a member of the Baltimore Ravens will play out on the turf of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Super Bowl XLVII. During the Baltimore Ravens phenomenal run through the playoffs, Lewis has placed his faith in God at the focal point of the Ravens three victories — anchored by his 44 tackles.

Most of the attention Super Bowl week will surround the meeting of the Harbaugh brothers John and Jim. Ray Lewis will be the most sought after player. He’ll answer dozens of questions about his 17-years in the NFL, his family, his children and the night that changed him forever.

Khalif Wyatt’s sharp shooting pushes Temple Owls past Penn Quakers 76-69

Khalif Wyatt’s big second half was just what Temple needed.

Temple’s Khalif Wyatt shook off a frustrating first half to finish with 26 points in the Owls 76-69 victory over the cross-town rival Penn Quakers in a Big 5 contest.

The Quakers led by as many as nine points with ten minutes to go in the second half, but were unable to stop the hot shooting of Wyatt.

Tip-Off for 1/24/13 (featuring Ne-Yo): LeBron James and Dwyane Wade catch fire in Heat win over Raptors

Miami’s Dynamic Duo were no mere mortals against the Raptors, combining for 66 points.

LeBron James posted his 34th career triple-double and his second of the season. Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen were effective in supporting roles as the Miami Heat were able to outlast the Toronto Raptors 123-116 in overtime.
