Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks broke a six-year slide in Beantown.
The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics have been playing iffy ball as of late. Carmelo Anthony shook off a rough first half to finish strong in the Knicks 89-86 victory. The Celtics have now lost five straight. The Knicks ended a six-year losing streak in Boston — which spanned 11 games.
The Phoenix Suns took advantage of the Clippers — who were without Chris Paul once again. The Suns got their biggest home win of the season, defeating the Clippers 93-88.
Raptors 97 – Magic 95 – The Raptors shot 50 percent from the floor as they swept the season series from Orlando. DeMar DeRozan sank a jumper as time expired to give the Raptors the win. DeRozan finished with 22 points and 7 assists. Nikola Vucevic led Orlando with 19 points and 14 boards.
Knicks 89 – Celtics 86 – Neither team shot well in this contest. Carmelo Anthony finished with a game-high 28 points. Rajon Rondo posted a triple-double for the Celtics with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
Suns 93 – Clippers 88 – Goran Dragic led the Suns with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Jamal Crawford had 21 points and Lamar Odom had 11 rebounds for the Clippers.
