The Hornets have been more competitive with Anthony Davis in the lineup.

The New Orleans Hornets have pulled it together in recent weeks with rookie Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon returning to the lineup. The emergence of point guard Greivis Vasquez has given the Hornets stability in the back court. New Orleans faced the hot Denver Nuggets — who were without point guard Ty Lawson. The Hornets took an early lead and were in cruise control by halftime. Sniping big man Ryan Anderson finished with 23 points and 9 rebounds in the Hornets 110-86 victory. The Hornets win ended the Nuggets 15-game win streak.

Wizards 107 – Grizzlies 94 – John Wall scored a career-high 47 points. Wall also finished with 7 boards and 8 assists. The Grizzlies were held to only 39 second half points. Mike Conley led Memphis with 23 points and 7 assists.

Heat 108 – Magic 94 – Miami slowly opened up what was a closely contested game against their in-state rivals. LeBron James flirted with a triple-double with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Jameer Nelson led Orlando with 27 points and 12 dimes.

Pacers 100 – Hawks 94 – Indiana won the rebounding battle 49-38 led by Roy Hibbert’s 13 boards. Gerald Green led the Pacers scoring with 19 points. Josh Smith led Atlanta with 20 points.

Hornets 110 – Nuggets 86 – Brian Roberts filled in for the injured Greivis Vasquez and handed out 18 assists. Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets  with 24 points.

Jazz 107 – 76ers 91 – The Jazz used a big second quarter to pull away from the 76ers and split their season series. Randy Foye scored 17 points and Derrick Favors grabbed 10 rebounds. Dorrell Wright led Philadelphia with 19 points.

Warriors 109 – Lakers 103 – The Lakers failed to win their seventh consecutive game against the Warriors. Kobe Bryant scored 23 of his 36 points in the second half. Steph Curry finished with 25 points and 10 assists. The Warriors led for the final 43:47 of regulation.
