Kobe Bryant’s superhuman effort to lead the Lakers into the playoffs has come to a disappointing end.

When Kobe Bryant crumpled to the floor of the Staples Center with 3:10 remaining in regulation against the Golden State Warriors, he knew it wasn’t good. The Los Angeles Lakers leading scorer and unquestioned leader may have suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the Lakers 118-116 win over the Warriors.

Bryant led all scorers with 34 points in 45 minutes of action. Time for Kobe’s mates to throw on their big boy pants.
